Hotel Pallavi International

Hotel is near Birla planetarium and Victoria memorial as well as Iskcon temple of kolkata in park Street area of kolkata. Staff are attentive in general. Hotel is equipped with a inhouse restaurant. Door mats ( on the floor and bathroom gate ) and hawai slippers may be provided for the guests then it would be more better for a comfortable stay.

Had a very poor initial experience - had booked the room through the Agoda website, but on calling up the hotel a day prior to checking in, was informed that my booking had been canceled. Even though I had made a full payment for the booking and had received a confirmation from Agoda, the hotel apparently had no communication from Agoda regarding the same. On talking to the manager in charge, I was absolutely stupefied to hear that they don't honor bookings done through the Agoda third party website because the website apparently was selling the rooms at a heavily discounted price not acceptable to the hotel. I was bluntly told that my booking was cancelled and that I had to take up this issue with Agoda if I wished to claim a refund. A long altercation followed, and finally the manager in charge found out that I had actually made the full payment for my booking and I was told that my room would be available as booked. The whole episode left an extremely sour taste in the mouth along with the realization that a guest at the hotel could well become a target of unresolved issues between the property and a third party vendor for no fault of his own!!! The property is average at best - that said, I stayed in a super deluxe room which was clean and reasonably decent. The furnishings and linen were okay and the bathroom was large & clean. Room facilities were otherwise quite basic. Breakfast was not really much to speak of. Staff interaction was also average. Where the hotel really scores high is in its location. This is extremely convenient and one can literally walk down to several important places that are nearby (Theater Road, Camac Street, Park Street, Victoria Memorial, the US Consulate). Overall, though average, the location of the property and the room tariff still makes it a good value for money proposition especially for short stays.

We stayed from 6th to 9th July 2018 . The Hotel building seems old but rooms are good enough. Location is very good and easily accessible. Lift condition is not good and say only 3 person is allowed. Breakfast is good with limited menu but they carry same menu everyday. Management need to look at this. Service is slow. Note: Rooms on 3rd Floor is good compare to 2nd Floor.

I was offered a super deluxe room as per the reception and the space at offer and the amenities were ok as per my previous Kolkata experience. The hotel is in a central location close to the Shakespeare sarani, a prime location of the city. The hotel suited my location needs and was so quite satisfying for me. The lady in the reception at the morning and the guy in the evening was both welcoming and tried to satisfy my requirements and queries. The hotel offered complementary breakfast as per the package, even though it was stated to be a morning buffet finally it turned out to be a-la-carta as they stated that room occupancy was low. The breakfast had a variety that included south Indian items as well as puri / paratha - sabji, toast, eggs, cornflakes, etc. The tea / coffee served was satisfying to me and my wife. However fruits were missing and they should keep that as a choice. The restaurant service can be much improved and the guys should be better trained for extending service.

Average place to stay, not hygienic however advantage is its location which is park street. Food quality is good...Need more pleasant operating staff to compete the mushrooming hotels around the location...overall ok property to stay
