Shimla British Resort

This trip was suppose to be for Delhi but due to weather conditions we changed the plan and decided to go to shimla for 3 days.. British cottage for our stay was shortlisted aftr chckng close to 15 hotels and we didn't regret the decission at any point during our stay. Will keep it simple - Beautiful, Peaceful & one the best places to stay in the woods. Coming to hospitality - Sunny & Kamal Ji....U guys did everything that could have made our stay a memorable one.. Thanks a Lot guys from all of Us..Not even a single thing to complain about. Rest assured next visit to shimla, our stay is at British resort again. I hope u folks will stick around till thn... CHEERS !!!

Excellent stay...specially bonfire facility. Location is very good. All sights in shimla are very close to this resort..like army museum, mall road etc.Hotel staff is excellent specially sunny rana. Thanx bro!

We stayed here, my friends and I, for 2 days. True to its name, this place is extremely beautiful! It's away from all the noisy traffic and is surrounded by greenery. I couldn't have found a better place in Shimla. Absolutely loved The British Resort.

This resort is in shimla not outside Railway station -1 km, vifhan sabha -800mute, army museum -650m , mall road 3km And still covered with trees no traffic , no noise, only calm peace and happiness Rooms we took scottish villa 3 big rooms Pro 1.) Car park outside your room 2.) Complete personal area 3.) Bon fire 4.) Sitting inside and outside 5.) U wake up and see greens only Con 1.) Cleaning of room required , lady authorised to clean room.never do.it properly even if u ask her to do.she rvert u back with bad words 2?) Washroom 1 room is new, other room.required upgrade Food 1?) Tea in demand 2?) Food quality good , better you eat here 3?) Pricing factor also good not highly priced Staff Manager kamal is nice himachal guy simple similing always Service guy sunny and tikaram very helpful always available on calls , serve with happiness Its like home away from home they are not commercial in all service like other hotels available If u are lucky you may watch some.movie shooting at this resort as its highly in demand for there shooting location and old charm Must see secret room in scottish villa

Worst Stay in Shimla, You can stay in hotel but don't go here. We recently travelled to shimla in December 2021. They charged 18000 Rs for 2 days including food. Which is too much for this Pathetic place. Here's what we faced. Location: - Shimla British Resort, it's deep down the hill around 1 - 1.5 km from main road. - You have to climb by yourself (very tough) otherwise you can book taxi which will charge you 500 Rs for each visit. - It's around 2-2.5 Km from Mall road. - Can't go this resort in night by yourself & taxi won't go after snowfall. Stay - Very Pathetic service. - They gave our booking to someone else & provided us two rooms which were not even rooms they were just main area & gallary of a house converted into a bed room. - When we asked for room heater they refused by saying you don't have two rooms you have 1 room because they're attached. - Extremely frustrating don't make any sense. - They said they'll provide hot water bottles to keep bed warm & that never happened - Bon fire was included. - They have restaurant. Staff - Staff members don't even care if you live there or not. - If you have a to go somewhere in early morning or you have to checkout in early morning (7:00 Am) or if you have a bus, they won't even respond their phones will be switched off. They'll take their own good time to get back to you. - Behaviour wise they're good but you have to ask 3 times for even a water bottle before it gets delivered to you. Services - No electricity for 12 hours due to some fault but they didn't even had a power backup in a place like Shimla - Geyser never worked (we didn't bath for 2 days) - No lock in Bathroom doors - No Privacy in room (People in other rooms can hear your very clearly) - Almirah is worst. - No Handwash & Hanger in bathroom. - Pathetic place - Awful services - Poor location - Overpriced - No Privacy - Looks Good only in images, in reality it's someone's home converted into a villa
