Hotel Raj Continental

I stayed at Hotel Raj Continental when I visited Amritsar for a couple of days in December 2018. I had visited with family and the hotel was the perfect place to stay. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all the facilities. The staff is very friendly and cooperative and always there to help you out. The food at Raj Continental is of top quality. When asked for places to go for sight-seeing, the manager guided us very well and also helped us get an auto to travel through the city. The hotel is located at 5-10 mins distance from the railway station and is easily located on the maps to navigate to. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Raj Continental when you're in Amritsar and I am definitely staying here when I'm in Amritsar next.

I would like to give An Average rating to Raj continental. Location is good. Good parking space.staff is helpful specially Mr. Arun front office manager. Food is good but service needs improvement as i feel its little slow in restaurant. Rooms are good but need upgrade and some maintenance. Otherwise hotel is very good.

Maintenance is very bad. They gave us a suite room , smelly,shocked that they called it one. After complaining they changed and gave a better room. For the price you pay this is not worth. Check out was very slow. Only good side is the breakfast. Very tasty and quick.

We held a marriage function at Raj continental. We were given a choice of menu to select dishes. We looked into each and every detail and selected the dishes as per the number mentioned in menu. But on the day of finalization, mr. Jeswinder Singh insisted on the dishes which were easy to prepare and common and totally changed our menu. Disappointed by his behaviour.

I and my team are staying here for almost a week. And unfortunately have to continue for another 3 weeks, as we have already paid for. The hotel is located in a convenient location and that is the only thing good about it. There is no windows, in the rooms and smell of seepage all the time. You have to literally force them to get anything done. You ask anything at Front desk, they say call 35. You ask anything at 35, they say either it's not available, it takes millions of minutes to deliver. They fail to deliver as basic as hot water even in such cold weather. The worst part is the F&B service, Every staff stares you like you have intruded into their personal space. You ask for as basic as Chappati which is what you paying for. But answer is "nahi bana sakte". And you ask for the Chef to be meet and answer can't believe" One has to seek, appointment. Seriously! My sincerest advise, do not come to this hotel, even if this is the last choice. If management is there even for name sake please do something about it.
