Hotel Sita Niwas

It was an amazing tour to Amritsar...owner of the Hotel Sita Niwas (Sarabjit Singh)is so cooperative and understanding....rooms are cleaned and renovated with all the services and facilities. The most liked thing is that it is very nearer to GOLDEN TEMPLE. Whenever plan to go Amritsar than stay in HOTEL SITA NIWAS

the place is nice. rooms are tidy and nice. overall my experience is good. the price i experience is high due to sat/sun tourist. but rest i not regret the time i spend there. , i hope they will not charge me extra next time

We travelled all the way from England to visit amritsar golden temple. Mr. Sarabjit singh the owner took keen interest to make sure we are take good care. I am going to list below pros and corns staying in sita nivas: Pros Very close to temple Decent size room, newly decorated and on going Good hot water Mr. Sarabjit singh is a helpful man. We read on the webpages that the hotel provides parking.. but it was on street parking which we were not happy but he said he will pay half the price for the parking. Your driver will get a place to stay. We had some issues where our driver was chucked out of his room. Then he was allotted a crappy place which he was not happy. So in the end we paid 300 rs to find him accommodation.. we spoke to mr. singh about it in the morning and he said he will refund with no fuss. (It would have been nice if we would not have to have that headache sorting rooms for the driver at that part of the night but hey sometimes stuff happens) Corns The hotel has one entrance to two establishments. Which means sitanivas and other not so good, cheap hotel uses same entrance and reception.. this was a pain in the ass as massive number of people come in and halt the entrance and too much noise and baggage The hotel is still under renovation so unfinished corners some wires hanging paint job ongoing They also have budget room for large families i guess and they have crazy check in time, there were like 50 members of family from mumbai checked in at 4 am in the morning making huge noise and chaos.. every one including our babies woke up. They also went around knocking room doors and screaming and stuff. complained and was promised it will not happen but next night new check ins and new noise. In the end it is about your choice, u want to stay close and willing to take on such challenges you can. But i dont know whether mr. Sing will be on board with every customer as he did to us. I hope things will get a bit better after the renovation done.

I will never recommend this hotel to anybody in the world.Worst manager & staff,spoiled my tour of Amritsar.They are least bother about their customer,they will make you feel helpless. Worst hotel ,it was nightmare.

It was our family trip to Amritasar Golden temple & wagha border. I booked this hotel for 2 nights. Washroom was extremely dirty.Even after repeated calls no body came to room.Then my husband went to manager, subsequently they arranged a boy to clean.He was so rude in talking. Infact entire hotel staff were rude. Food in restaurant was not so good & very expensive too.Pls avoid this hotel. It will spoil your trip.
