Good hotel in a easy to access location. Check in was smooth by the friendly reception. Room was well maintained, spacious and clean. Excellent maintenance. Hotel offers a comfortable and pleasant stay. Staff give ultimate care for our maximum comfort. Nice and best place for family stay.

The hotel is situated inside a street near the VIP parking of Harmandir Sahib. The street is very small so you cant drive your car here. You will have to park somewhere else. The rooms are small but cosy. Clean rooms and the bathrooms. AC works well.Enough for a stay for a day or two. There is market all around the hotel. There is no restaurant.

I had quite a disappointing stay at HKJ Residency. I had booked Luxury Rooms, but was disgusted to find that the rooms are far from offering a luxurious stay. The hotel's only advantage is its location. It is only a stone's throw away from the Golden Temple, so you're quite centrally located. However, the property is located in a narrow lane, accessible only by rickshaws or e-rickshaws. Coming to the flaws, the problems that I found with the rooms are: 1. The rooms were small, stuffy and no space to move around. The photos put up online are cleverly taken in such an angle that makes the room appear bigger. I would say this is misleading! 2. There was poor ventilation in the rooms and we were almost suffocating. 3. The AC did not work, and the staff could not make the it function till my check-out. 4. The bathroom was okay in size, but the flush didn't work. 5. Again, the in-room Wi-Fi did not work and the hotel staff was not keen at all to address the issue. I had to give up finally. Apart from the location, what I found positive about the hotel is the behavior of the staff. Both the reception and room service guys were polite and well-behaved. They were quite embarrassed with the problems we faced, and thankfully, tried resolving those (albeit unsuccessfully) instead of arguing with us.

Visited this hotel two years back and this year. The room we got this year was very small, the bed sheet was clean but its quality was very bad. Washroom was of okay size. AC was working fine. I would say the room condition has deteriorated since the last 2 years

The hotel is situated in a narrow lance, so your car can't go. You will have to take the local rikshaw from the temple, there are no hotel boards, so switch on your GPS and follow to reach hotel. Service of the hotel is very poor - 1) they people are not customer friendly, the rooms are very small & not that great.
