Misty Woods Resort

We visited Misty woods over the last 4 days, the food was great Chef Akash Makes great food, esp. North Indian and Indo-Chinese, they were prepared very well. The restaurant Manager Iqbal was also very polite courteous and accommodated all our requests. The Rooms were well maintained, we did not have any power issues Either ( After reading a few reviews we were initially skeptical but seems like the Management has re-invented the place with newer Staff / Chef and Management) The Resort is right in the middle of plantations making it truly away from city and very close to nature. The private falls within the Property was truly Private and the water was so clean and refreshing - a small trek to the falls was also fun, all in all we had amazing 4 days, we felt relaxed, rejuvenated.

We spent a weekend at Misty Woods Resort and it was such an awesome experience! We had the Fairytale cottage which overlooks the forest (breath-taking view!) with its own built in fireplace! The staff was extremely helpful and cordial! They planned numerous activities for us including a jungle jeep safari through the plantations, a trek and a visit to a waterfall! We even had a lovely bonfire evening. Mahesh was absolutely terrific in organizing these activities and kept us entertained! He was an amazing naturalist and knew a lot about the terrain! They even offered packed sandwiches to take along! Mr John and Mr Puneet were delightful hosts. We had an early check-in and an extremely late check-out and they were accommodating to give us a discounted rate for those extra hours instead of charging for the full day. They arranged for pick-up and drop and since it was a very late bus, even offered to wait with us till we boarded (the bus-stop was at a remote place and we were two women travelers). These small gestures really made our day!

Stayed in Misty Wood resort for 3 days with family. It was an amazing experience. The resort is in the middle of Coffee Plantation surrounding by forest area. The staff are very friendly, food is very good, its has recreation center ( gym, swimming pool (closed due to Covid ), TT, Badminton court, billiard board, swing. They took us for trekking, coffee plantation walk and Bonfire in the evening. Thanks, Mahesh for the hospitality. Mr John and Puneet, you are amazing guys. I will remember the adventures drive of the coffee plantation. We loved our stay. Hope to visit again!

Great location, easy to get to by road. The staff were absolutely wonderful but the resort is extremely under staffed, especially in the service area. The food was good, but there are zero local menu options and many items were served cold. The staff are dominantly from Kerala and the chef is from there too, so Kerala food is the best thing to order. They setup a campfire in the evening which was good. Danny and Chef Robin did their best though. The rooms were sufficient and clean, but lacked some basics (for the price they were charging), such as moisturiser, coffee maker/kettle in the room, good quality toiletries. There was no hot water for most of the day and the best we got was lukewarm water after letting the tap run for around 5 minutes. The absence of a coffee/tea amenity was sorely missed as the only way to get a coffee was to go the restaurant and that's not too convenient in the cold or when you wake up. Moreover, there was no room service either. They could not even chill the beers we carried for us. Nor were they able to serve us ice when we wanted it. Ironically, when we ordered coffee, we were served Bru!! Guys, this is Coorg!! Serve the real thing (which we checked was not available, though they're location smack in the middle of a 100 acre coffee estate!) Some small tweaks and attention to detail and customer orientation will take you guys up to a new level.

Food is worst, no lights / power in night everyday of 2 day stay! Rooms with leaked water, no proper bedding. On top of it leaches everywhere it’s was worst for kids, they could even step down! Forget about relaxing we felt why did we even come here.
