Comfortable stay at a beautiful place

I booked Aarti Home Stay for my stay at Madhikeri based on internet reviews. I stayed there for two nights with my family during my visit to Coorg in May 2016 on vacation. Very good home stay not too far away from the hustle bustle of the Madhikeri town. The owner family, particularly the Land Lord and the Land Lady are very cordial and helpful. We reached there at 6 o' clock in the morning and they were awake to guide the auto rickshaw driver from the bus stop at Madhikeri town to their home stay. Served hot coffee on arrival. We stayed in a suit as we were a family of 4 adults. Complementary Wi-Fi was there but of low strength, may be due to operator problem. The home stay is 15 minutes walk from the main bus stop at Madhikeri. Auto rikshaw takes Rs. 30 for a one way trip to the hotel. Please note that the location of the hotel presently shown in Google maps is slightly dislocated. I have submitted a correction request to Google. Highly recommended home stay.

We 2 couples went to stay @ aarathi , Rooms were fantastic, hospitality was really good,personally we are very happy about this home stay, it was under our budget also and Mr.Suresh muttappa will help you for all your requirement , he is very humble and nice person, i strongly recommend this home stay !

We were a group of 6 and had stayed for about 2 nights and 3 days. First things first, this home is located at a conveniently identifiable area in the town! Secondly, hospitality of the entire caretakers (Mr.Suresh & his family along with their maid) took good care of us upon arrival and made us feel very comfortable! We were offered the bigger portion of the home stay, which had a spacious living room and 3 bedrooms. Stay was very comfortable and the kodagu delicacy breakfast (paputtu, kadambuttu, koot curry) provided by the family was delicious and sumptuous!! Overall..we liked every part of this home stay and would definitely keep this option open for any of our future trips as well! P.S: Special thanks to Mr.Suresh & co for all the hospitality and handy tips :)
Not recommended unless your are on tight budget !!

We rented this home-stay on recommendation by one of our friend. Honestly, it was a bad decision. Its a small bungalow.The rooms were on the first floor and we had to pick up all our baggage on our own with no help provided by landlord. On arrival coffee was offered,the cups were very dirty,old and not cleaned properly. Room was big and basic. Bathroom was clean but average. Poor ventilation. Very old type TV set. Just basic things were provided. Next day morning, we were waiting for breakfast before checking out. But landlord sent only coffee ...again in dirty cups... :(( and announced that breakfast was not included in package and we can have it on our way :). I felt he should have offered at least some biscuits along with coffee as my parents had to take their medicines. We choose not to argue, so left from there thanking him for the stay. However, due to this we had to stop and spend 1 extra hour on the way for breakfast , plus money extra. I would not recommend this place unless u r on a tight budget . On the way, saw many good options for home-stay and thought i should have done some research !
Never Stay here. Cancelled My Booking without Informing.

I had made a booking for Aarti Home Stay in Coorg on 18th December via booking.com for the night of 25th and 26th December. I was supposed to arrive with my family on 25th Dec and since 26th Dec was my sister's birthday, our plan was to celebrate it there. On 25th Dec we were travelling from Wayand and had gone for a few sight seeings on the way and decided to call Aarti Home Stay at 12 noon and notify them that we would be a bit late in reaching. But to our horror the lady who picked up the call informed that they had cancelled my booking since they did not have any room left. They insisted that they had informed booking.com to cancel the reservation and tried calling on my number but my number was not reachable. This is complete rubbish as my phone had signal all throughout from 19th to 25th Dec. The lady then tried avoiding the blame by saying that she is working for Booking.com and was not responsible if the Home stay cancels, whereas she only received my call saying that I was calling Aarti Home Stay. This is one of the worst service I have seen. I would highly recommend you guys to stay away from this rubbish people and their place.
