First thing first , don't go for the sham reviews - come , see , stay & experience , and then decide ! Vila Goesa is a beachfront resort that sits right in the center of Baga - Calangute stretch , but away from the hustle bustle of the crowded Baga beach. Remember , in Baga-Calangute none of the hotels/resorts have a private beach , so Vila Goesa is no different. The resort has access to the part of the beach that sits in the middle of Baga & Calangute ; hence the beach is less crowded , clean and has limited , but good shacks. The Villas are built just about 100 to 150m from the beach and you can hear the waves at night ! Rooms : they have 6 villa style blocks with clean and spacious rooms , balconies in each room. The rooms are built in traditional Portuguese architecture , so expect that look and feel. Rooms have AC's , Mimi bar and LED TV , what else do you need when you're in Goa ! If you need a tea/coffee maker - just ask for it , and they will provide it at no extra charge. they have 6 cottages too , but they are located far away and is a little secluded , not recommended for the weak hearted(s) opt for Block 3 & 4 for pool view rooms. WiFi : I was (am - as I am still staying here !) getting 18-20Mbps speed throughout , which is a decent surfing speed. As I was WFH , it did not give me any issue. AC - AC works fine , just like the way it should work. Some rooms have Split , and some have window AC's. You have a preference - just ask ! Washrooms - Huge , but clean washrooms with bathtub. they provide basic toiletries like soap , shampoo and bathing gel ( no hair dryers etc ) Rem - This is a 3.5 star property Restaurant : Although they have a proper restaurant , it is not in service now. They haven't reopened post lockdown. However , you'll get tea , coffer and beer throughout ! Staff : Real helpful staff present 24x7 ; trust me they will go an extra mile to serve you. Overall, excellent place to stay. Surrounded by lush green grooves and trees - full of greenery ! It is hard to find this kind of a place in the middle of Baga. PS - You get what you pay for , if you compare it with W-Goa , God help you ! But if you are planning to come and experience , come without a second thought.

If you are one of those people who wants to be right in the middle of the happening places, then this location is perfect. It's a beach touching property with private access to the beach, enought shacks around to choose from. Infenteria is 10 mints walk and so is the main Baga beach lane. Variety of restaurants around serving varied cousin. Location is perfect. It's a spread out property with enough open space and a decent kiddie pool. Good for a family holiday too. Hotel staff is extremely accomoting & helpful. We had a problem with the room AC and they changed the AC promptly. When that didn't help they gave us a change of room as well. The property is a bit old, the rooms need to be redone. If you are used to star hotels then this is not your place. These is a scooter rental guy waiting near the gate who is over charging customers . But again convenience comes at a price! We only had 1 meal at the place which was average. Breakfast spread was limited to 3 dishes and tea / coffee. Would recommend hop over to the beach for a lovely morning massage with breakfast by the sea. May go back only for the location.

Dont stay here. All the negative reviews are true. Its the worst experience possible. I was just unfortunate to stay here for one night on a last minute plan during a long weekend and this was the only last minute option to stay. This hotel should be shut down - its a very dark spot on Goa's Tourism landscape 1. Filthy rooms 2. AC's dont work 3. Rude and lying / dishonest front office staff - denied that had spoken to me over phone to confirm room and started overcharging during check in taking advantage of a customers situation 4. Even 2 bottles of water in the room are charged and not free 5. No room service 6. No house keeping 7. No tea coffee sachets in rooms - they have kettles but without chords - maybe you can use them to have a bath in the bucket 8. No restaurant 9. Its bascially a shack and worn out rooms put together in the middle of a Garden with no staff

Not good hotel. No room service for food. Only tea coffee served that also after 10 am. 4 pm they close room service for the same. Room cleaning horrible. They mention children play area and indoor activity on their website but it is not there. They don't give a complimentary bottle of water also in the room. The good part is the location that's it.

Worst hotel, Manager Mr. Spencer Pereira is very arrogant. I complained him that bathroom is full of cockroaches, instead of listening to the complaints he started fighting with me. It's crime here to give honest feedback. Every Hotels are providing 2 water bottles as free but this unique hotel is charging for water bottles. Be careful, you will feel water Bottles are free but they will charge you with exorbitant amount. Bathtub itself is a joke, you will see water leakages. Dirty towels, dirty toilet's and wash basin. Breakfast is really pathetic, very few items that is also chargeable. I heard that Mr. Lobo is a owner of this hotel but he got very incompetent staff, cleanliness and hygienic not maintained. Please do not visit this hotel it's sheer waste of money.
