OYO Flagship 400 Calangute Baga Circle

I was looking for a budget hotel near calangute beach.... and somehow I landed up here... they had sparking cleanliness...and the customer service was aweesome... also a perk to stay with oyo is most of the times they provide free breakfast... I stayed with my family for two nights at this OYO :)

It was very nice hotel. Centre of the market. Calangute beach is just 700 meters and rental bike is just at doorstep.. Mac donald is in front of hotel. Baga beach is 1.4 kms.Reastraunts are nearby.. chocolate room is besides..

It's apt for bachelor's and small families. Prices of food and alcohol are decent. Swimming pool is pathetic. The staff doesn't care about welcoming, they behave like typical Goans who hate Indians coming to their place. Rooms are pretty as well as the services offered by Oyo Rooms as a company.

The good thing about this place is its location. situated in the main market. Calangute beach is only few minutes walk. The rooms are actually apartments converted in to hotel. Bedroom was clean with very basic amenities and so is bathroom. It has 4 floors but no lift. campus is ok with a pool in the middle. It is not bad for the price you pay.

I stayed at this hotel from 24-27 Dec 2018. They have charged me 6,000 INR Per night when I booked a couple of months in advance. The actual hotel tariff was 2400 INR at the day of check-in. I was so annoyed at this. Further, I meet a few other couples staying there, they have paid 7000 INR/ Night; which was even worse. The hotel people confirmed the actual rate for rooms is around 2000INR/Night even at this holiday season. OYO is manipulating rates absurdly. We can understand based on demand it varies a little. But this is absurd paying >300% for same worse rooms. Which has unhygienic bathrooms, dirty bedsheets etc.. It's not that they have good rooms which at times of demand they can charge a little extra and people would pay for it happily. Should have booked for 3/5 star hotel in 7-8K/Night then paying 6K/Night here.
