We love this place. Bigger rooms and neat,tidy. Housekeeping team is always helpful. Room boy Parida was a best in his work. Restaurant stewards r best was in their work. We like sunil maharana, sunil nanak, Sanjay, uday. Ramesh pool was awesome.
We booked from online portal. We found a best place in best price.
And from front team Amul was best person we met. Such a polite and well behaved man. He taught us best hidden gem places, best restaurants,best clubs, best beaches, and etc.etc. whole stay he was so much caring.

Somy resort is very beautiful. Customer & room service is very great. On food side, breakfast food is very tasty. In a buffet, we can eat anything we want and quality of the food is amazing. I would like to prefer visit Somy resort to those who will come to Goa.

Great stay for family.
1. Breakfast : Good variety of Indian food in breakfast buffet and live counter for egg dishes and south Indian dishes during breakfast ; but don't expect continental options in breakfast.
2. Rooms : Perfect , clean and spacious with all necessities available in room.
3. Room Service : Decent but need improvement in terms of time.During my stay , on ordering water bottle, I didn't get the water bottle that day in-spite of calling them four times. This needs to be addressed. Other than this particular instance, service was decent.
4. Swimming Pool : Clean and a large swimming pool located in the center of the property.
5. Parking : Allow parking of four wheeler in the hotel premises but do not provide parking facility for rented two wheeler.
6. Location of hotel : Great with all necessary shops and restaurants available nearby ; however it is slightly away from beach.You can do a 1 km walk to the beach or hire a bike or car on rent. Plenty of shops available just outside this hotel offering vehicles on rent.
7. Price : This property is perfect for a reasonable price option.

Stayed in this hotel for 7 days. Whats good about this hotel is rooms are spacious and well maintained, location is good, housekeeping and room service was prompt, issue resolution like ac remote not working , fan making noise, tv not recharged, was quick.
What's I did not like about this hotel:
1) the staff is completely bogged down by rule book of the hotel. They are working like bots who have been programmed to tell rules to customer without listening to their concerns or problems. I won't blame them as this are the instructions to them from top management. I asked for two sets of towel on my first day of visit, since I was travelling, first I was told by Amol about the hotel rules , then when I escalated further, Sampada called me from reception and gave me 15 mins lecture on hotel rules on towels :).
2) I am fine if they have strict rules in place but at least they should follow it themselves. I have seen them saying no for breakfast to people who came at close time of 10:30. But I have also seen them serving breakfast to few families even at 11. Double standards.
3) also there rules are not in line with the market practice. My last three stays in goa were with Ibis (3 star), ocean palms (4 star), Hyatt (5 star). None of those places I faced such stiff behavior. They were very hospitable. Somy is an outlier , not worthy of 4 star according to me.
4) the hotel was full with corporate guests during our entire stay which was a nuisance for families. One day when we ordered dosa from their live kitchen ( which is free in breakfast,) the restaurant incharge told us to wait for around 45 mins. I asked why then he said he is waiting for the corporate guests to go otherwise he would have to take order for so many guests. Is this 4 star standard?
5) no rules followed in swimming pool like caps is not compulsory, no COVID distancing in restaurant
6) parking is good 5 min walk from hotel which is quite an inconvenience, you cannot enter your car in hotel premises.
