Guys Mi Casa By the Sea is an recommend from me as I had a great time. Clean Rooms and Good Staff both Gautam and Ganesh are very helpful and friendly. Moreover it's just outside the Candolim Beach which is cleanest and best of all the North Goa beach. A big Thumbs Up 👍

Although some of the facilities in the deluxe room were a bit tired and need of some renovating I am giving this property 10 out of 10 for the wonderful service we encountered by the lovely care-taker Sebastian and co-operation of the owner who made up for the short-falls of the facilties. Having said this the room itself and the bed were very comfortable and felt very private and quiet and charming in its own way. They also did their best to sort out the issues with the facilities which to be honest weren't a big problem for us and Sebastian was so helpful and kind bringing us tea and cutlery and anything we requested. One of the best services we have experienced from hosts within all our stays in India! We will definitely be staying here again!

I stayed at Micasa by the sea on my first day in India. It was the perfect place to ease myself into the frantic nature of the place as I am a solo traveller. The owner Sebastian greeted me on arrival and made the check in procedure comfortable and told me a little about himself. I stayed in a double room which was clean and very well air conditioned which was a welcome contrast to the high humidity of the area. It is well located down a quiet leafy street just off the main beach area making everything easily accessible. I would definitely recommend this place to any solo traveller or even a couple looking for cheap, quiet accomodation in the heart of Candolim. When checking out once again Sebastian was there to give advise on my next stop and to regail me with stories of the early days of Goa. I hope this helps!

First impressions of mi casa were great. Deluxe large room on the front, big bed, tv, fan,a/c all good. This was my 14th year in Candolim and have stayed all over. I do basic and clean, and this time I travelled solo. Met friends when I arrived to give me the keys (good job as Sebastian was fast asleep). Didn’t take me too long to settle in and then I started experiencing concerns. Mouldy shower curtain that I asked to be taken down, it wasn’t. Dirty bathroom tiles and a very scary black bath that needed a good scrub. No room service unless asked for. Had to request toilet rolls and a clean sheet and towel a few days in. I raised concerns with my mouldy pillow to Sebastian and asked for a new one. I didn’t get one, just a change of pillowcase. At the time I visited Lenny had to travel so I only dealt with Sebastian and while he is a lovely man, he did not understand my concerns surrounding cleanliness. Mi casa is in a great location but I couldn’t recommend the place due to a lack of finesse and cleanliness with the overall running/ servicing of the guest house. For the price paid there are definitely better guest houses in the area.

I checked in and the manager seemed very nice and friendly. The room was not yet ready so we chatted for a while. When I went to the room I noticed a couple of issues. The first was that most of the plug points did not work. I asked if they could help me with an extension cord so that I could use my sleep apnoea machine. He said the room has many problems and that I should find another place. I was stunned. I then noted that the AC was also not working too well and he just ignored me and lay down to take a nap. I honestly think the old man might have some problems because this is insane behaviour for someone in hospitality. There was a very simple solution (get an extension cord) and this guy tells me to leave? Honestly if I was not staying for a very short stay I would have fought with the booking company for a refund. Do not book at this property.
