  • Enchanting & Magical

Enchanting & Magical; are two words that best describe my 2 Nights at Saraya. I had one meal at the Cafe upon arriving which was vegetarian delicious goodness ! They grow most if not all of their produce in their own garden which is amazing! Even though it's located on a main road, once you step in through the arches you're transported to another world altogether. Immersed in nature, eco-friendly living and full of positive energy from the place and people. Being in direct contact with nature you can expect to come across a bug here and there. So if you're looking for a 5-Star Luxurious experience this probably won't qualify your needs. But, if you're looking to find peace and belonging and stay in a place harmonious with our planet and being, then you should definitely give this place a shot. Management and Staff were warm, accommodating and a delight to talk to :) Keep it up you guys . The Cafe space allows for alot of mingling between guests, volunteers and staff which makes the place so much more human and not an "Establishment". Counting days till I go back! Highly Recommend 10/10

I stayed in the dormitory for one week whilst taking part in a permaculture course hosted by Saraya. First impressions were good... Zora's mum Dee offered me turmeric shots on arrival because I was a little unwell. The mud and tree houses are clean, comfortable and unique - the walls of the dormitory are netted and each bed has an additional mosquito net. You can feel the fresh air and maybe a very gentle breeze as you drift off to sleep - the best sleep I've had in ages. The bathrooms are plentiful and clean... I look forward to seeing some compost toilets next time I visit :) Zora and his family are trying to ensure Saraya is as eco friendly as possible. I can't recommend this place enough.

Well it's not the usual kind of stay we expect and get ,since it's a ecostay we were told by Diksha - to be very particular for all usages and save the environment in all means. We booked a tree house and to our surprise it was typical staying in a forest home feeling with crickets, peacocks and many more small insects making sounds in the background which was like Dolby digital surround sound in our tree house. So, we liked the stay after the first night as it was like ice breaker for us also.

Figured we’d try a Veggie/Vegan restaurant In walking distance from home. Great ambiance ( just look out for the smoke from their wood fired pizzas) great service - super feta n cheese salad & pineapple kombucha, outstanding Saraya special pizza. Open air , lotsa greenery, great atmosphere. Will love to revisit- Summer time would be interesting too. No alcohol,( but you can carry yours) limited parking, reservations recommended

We stayed here one night whilst in Porvorim, I read TripAdvisor thoroughly before hand and the pictures looked great, really arty and alternative, in reality it is a bit sorry. Leaves absolutely everywhere in the grounds and the whole place seems under development still. There were large areas in the complex of just nothing but baron wasteland, signs pointing to workshop space or to their allotment but nothing to see or take interest in... I get that it's April but this place is in Sangolda which isn't a touristy place, for the type of retreat this is claiming to be online there should be more going on. The staff were friendly enough but if you're after a quiet and comfortable good night's sleep this is certainly not the place. A pack of about 6-7 dogs howled and barked all night outside our earth house, at no point did any staff come to divert them to another area. The bed was hard as anything, it was like laying down on a sheet of concrete. When I got up outta bed to use the toilet in the night I fell down the huge step right by the bed and almost smacked my face off a big tree in the centre of the room, a complete an utter safety hazard! The mozzy net was covered in living creepy crawlies, the room was gloomy and just wasn't somewhere I could ever feel relaxed in. The whole place is lacking in comfort as well as vibe. Having said that about the accommodation the place does have a lovely sitting area outside just as you walk in where the pizza oven is and the pizza that I tried was probably the best I've ever tasted - I'm not a pizza fan but after eating a 10" I wanted more here. But I'm sorry though guys this is just not enough to make me ever want to return.
