Golden Sands Resort

An excellent property. It's located close to morjim beach. Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. We really liked their swimming pool and it is quite big and cleaned. Staff was excellent who have good contacts and assist you in hiring scooty/ two wheelers.A good budget hotel and worth spending time and money.

There are places which are certified 5 star and then there are some where the experience enthralls one. Morjim-Ashvem-Mandrem still hold on to the peaceful version of Goan tourism. Tucked away in midst of coconut trees and a stone's throw away from the beach, is this resort. There are two types of rooms. They are side by side ground floor rooms facing the pool or garden. Also there are individual wooden cottages which look pretty neat. We stayed in the pool view room. The room is pretty spacious with bare necessities. Larger than your regular hotel rooms. Looks new and very clean. Walk out to the balcony and one is right next to the pool. The room service is prompt enough and the staff is courteous. The property isn't really big but it still caters to car parking, a central pool and a small restaurant. Many places of interest are within 1 Km. The beach is just 5 mins walk. The only downside is the approach road which is narrow and messed up. Short stretch though. The place is pet friendly. Guest friendly. Basically it's a very relaxed space. For the price we paid, it was a steal!!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights, booked two rooms . Rooms are spacious and every room has a balcony. Much storage space, tvs comes with you tube. Food: Breakfast is good with limited options like any budget hotel. Morning tea, is very difficult to get from them as they have limited staff. Your first tea, you can get only at 9 AM from the breakfast buffet counter. No nearby walkable tea shop also available. Chicken items are good. Sea foods are just ok. Other: One of room had intercom, other one it never worked. For any thing we have to call a cell number. Service: Average. Typical what you get in budget hotel. Overall: Average budget hotel.
