Oh my God..!! I am writing this now when I visited last in Feb 2019, all the memories are rushing back as I am writing this. What a beautiful place....the view is astonishing, specially at night....if you're in goa seeking some peace then this is the place for you. I stayed there for a week and it was the best week this whole year.
It's a little piece of heaven in South goa. Far from what you guys experience everyday, the chaoes and the traffic and people lol.
The host Eugene is a super nice person, he helped a lot and took care of us and went out of his way to make this stay not just comfortable but memorable for us. I wanted to do something special for my fiancé on valentine's day and Eugene took care of everything and he put efforts from his side, really thank him for being so nice.
The staff of this place are very cool and helpful. The best breakfast view outside. I promise the moment you step out of your car to be here you will get goosebumps...yes! It's that beautiful...!
The beach is not populated it's quite so you can have all beach by yourself and can take long walks....
The best part is you don't have to go to the beach, you're living on the beach. You get up open your door and there it is ❤️
I will highly recommend this place which I call my happy place and will visit soon next time m in india..!!

It is a beautiful quiet place in March 2019, Well maintained. Relaxed ambiance, fresh air and luxury woody hut rooms with an attached modern bathroom with 24hr hot water. There are only 9 cabins to keep it quiet. Delicious Food. Mostly Non Veg though. Open air restaurant. Breathtaking Sunset. Looking over no crowded beach in Southernmost Goa. Hammocks, Garden, Bougainvillea, etc add an extra touch.
Stayed in Mercury Hut. I could see the beach as well as the garden from my bedroom
Tip: Make sure at night to tuck in the mosquito net under the mattress from all possible sides

I almost didn’t write this review... because I really don’t want huge flocks of tourists to visit this quaint little resort, situated on a quiet little beach in South Goa, and over populate it! :-/
But then I thought, if there’s any person-one person, like me out there, who goes through several reviews and has a list of must-haves for a vacation resort, I want to help THAT person by writing this review.
Neelchand (Blue Moon) by Ciarans is a quaint little resort situated directly on the Talpona beach. It’s an Eco resort with only seven huts, named after different planets. All the huts are super spacious and are directly facing the sea. The huts are well laid out, with enough space between each one of them. The resort is on the beach and has an unrestricted view of the beautiful Talpona beach- blue water and white velvet sand. I can’t stress enough on how close the sea is and how magnificent the view is. The sea was only 10 steps away from my porch. The beach was so pristine and so secluded, it almost felt like our own personal beach. On a busy day, you’d probably see 10-15 people on the beach.
Otherwise it’s completely free of any pollution, commotion and offers immense amount of peace and quiet to the resort residents. We only saw one other resort on Talpona beach, with about 5 huts.
We were there for a wedding and also to celebrate my friend’s birthday.
The minute we entered the Neelchand gate, we felt at home. We had an instant connection with the lush green resort and the beautiful sea. The property is very well kept and the staff is really nice and they are friendly, just the right amount. I mean, they are not very chatty or over friendly or wouldn’t go out of their way to make you comfortable but they were always there when needed. Like the one time we ordered food at 10 pm, way past their closing time but they served us food or the number of times I messaged the manager, Eugene for suggestions regarding things to explore. They were always helpful. They just let you be and are available in case you have an issue.
We were there during low season and there were times when we felt like there was no one at the resort. It felt like our own vacation home.
So, if you’re planning a romantic getaway or travelling solo or travelling with friends, go ahead and book this resort. I promise you won’t be disappointed. If peace and quiet is what you’re craving for, head to Neelchand’s without any doubt. For families, I think Palolem might be a better place to stay - bigger beach and a lot more activities happen there. They also have a property on the Palolem beach called Ciarans. Check that out!
Coming back to the eco huts:
I have nothing that I wish to complain about. I had a perfect stay. I highly recommend the huts, especially Saturn. It offers more privacy and is closer to the sea. All the huts are sea-facing but Saturn and Uranus were the closest to the sea, as the huts are laid out in a semi circle, with Saturn and Uranus being on either of the ends of the semi circle. Saturn is a non-ac hut and even though we were there in mid March, we didn’t miss the ac. Although Goa starts getting hotter from April onwards.
The hut has a lovely porch, where you can sit and enjoy the lovely sunsets
The bathroom is decent sized for a hut
The huts don’t have walls! Especially, the bathroom walls are put together with the help of jute, bamboos (i think) and plastic (for waterproofing). So, the walls are obviously not soundproofed. You’ll hear the waves, the dogs all night long. I didn’t mind that. It was music to my ears, to be honest :)
Amenities: They have electricity all day long, hot water and WiFi too. They offer late checkout and baggage drop off (check with the manager)
The restaurant: They have a limited menu, which was fine by us, because that meant everything was freshly made for us. The restaurant or eating area was also really cool. Must try: eggs Benedict, pancakes and pastas
Activities around the resort: swim, swim, swim, eat, stare into the sea, take a nap, eat some more, probably go for a run on the beach or ride a scooter somewhere or just sit on your porch and watch the sunset. That’s all I did!
Talpona Area: Beautiful beach. There’s not much to explore in the area. Not many eateries either. But the closest happening place is Palolem. I think there’s a fort and a few other beaches close by, which we didn’t feel the need to explore. We spend most of our time in Talpona and travelled to Palolem every day
Distances: Airport to Neelchand is about 1 hour 40 mins and will cost you about Rs. 2000/each way.
Neelchand/Talpona to Palolem is about 9.5 kms/20 mins
Neelchand/Talpona to Agonda is about 16 kms/30 mins
Best to hire a scooter and ride away - costs only Rs. 300/day
Some suggestions:
The rooms could be cleaned every day. We were there for 4 days and it was cleaned only once. I know, they probably thought we didn’t need the room cleaned.
Fresh towels too please!
The bathroom stall can be a bit more sturdy/stable. It wobbled every time someone stood on it for a shower.
I wish they had more Goan dishes on the menu.
We were bitten really badly by mosquitos, in spite of wearing the mosquito repellent lotion. It would be nice if they had some kind of mosquitos repellent coil on the porch, in the restaurant and goodnight or something inside the hut.
This review got longer than expected but it’s a very special place and it deserves all the praise and attention.
Head to the eco huts for peace and tranquillity and absolute seclusion! You’ll thank me and oh yes, you’re welcome ;)

The beach-beautiful, The people-Friendly, The tents-luxurious. I have been to goa multiple times and each time I have stayed at a different beach, but this was the best. It's the simplicity of it all that makes these tents and property stand out. ITs clean, right on the beach. The food served by them is also good. The caretaker, so damn polite. Keep in mind, its a tent. Luxurious tent, sure. But tent nonetheless. If you are expecting hardwood walls, and tv and fridge and all the amenities of a hotel, dont bother. But if you want to get away from the chaos of city life and de-stress, this is the place for you.
