Sitara Grand is a well established chain of hotels and restaurants in Hyderabad. This review is for Sitara Grand Hotel at KPHB, Hyderabad. Pros:  Rooms are pretty spacious and very cleanly maintained.  The staff were quick and courteous.  Food taste is excellent. Cons:  Hotel rooms are in two floors - 3rd and 4th floors of this building. We were given room in the upper floor. When we come from outside and want to go to the room, we have to enter into the Reception area first which is in front side portion of the building by using the front side lift, then walk into the backside portion and take the other lift to reach the 4th floor. This was inconvenient. The spring mattress has become old. It is very uncomfortable to have a good sleep. When all the doctors and sleep experts are against using spring mattresses I don't understand why many of the hotels still use them! There is no automatic lock to the door, due to which we have to manually lock it from inside every time the staff leaves the room. Bathroom though was clean, was little bit outdated.

Good: Large rooms, clean bed, clean bathrooms. Bad: Poor spread during buffet breakfast. That too in the restaurant which is designed as a bar, as far as lighting is concerned. Questionable hygiene (rat!), Poor room service. Worst part: Took them 15 min to check me in at 2 pm!

The hotel is centrally located close Kukkatpally shopping area, just walkable from metro station. Rooms are large, spaceous but needs maintenance. Not so clean and lack good maintenance. Food is good. Both food and rooms are overpriced for quality of maintenance.

Yesterday I ordered Chicken Biriyani and Mutton Curry food from Sitara Grand Kukatpally. While Ordering I told to use less spicy and less oil. While eating the food was not at all tasty and Full of Spice. The Manager Who took the order( Mr.Ravi) did not take care of our request properly. All the guests were not happy about the food. So I will not prefer to order the food next time.

Since this was closest to JNTU campus, I have opted for this. The guest rooms start from 3rd floor. Restaurant -cum - bar is on the 2nd floor. The room is ok. Most of the switches are loose. The TV was ok. Running hot water is available in bathroom. The bathroom door inside part requires paint very badly.There are cockroaches in bathroom.A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided at the hotel.The food is tasty but the service is bad. When the items in the buffet stand is over, there is no replenishment. When I was having breakfast, a small boy came with his grandfather and wanted to have bread but they could not give him even though butter and jam are there on the table. I had chicken biryani here for lunch. It was very spicy.
