We stayed at Mayur Hotel for 2 nights in November. We booked a 3 bed room through Goibibo at a handsome discount. The Hotel itself is situated bang in the center of Katra city with walking distance to Bus station and Yatra Parchi counter. Katra railway station is also not far. Hotel has a welcoming reception and the check in was done really quick. We wanted an early check in as our train arrived early morning and our room was infact ready at the time of our arrival. Special thanks to Gulendra at Front desk who made our early check in prompt. 3 bed room is moderately spaced. Actually it's a 2 bedroom set with a 3rd bed tucked in which doesn't leaves much space for anything else. Washroom was good although linen could have been better. Breakfast was complimentary but there is a fixed menu every morning without any choice. Hotel staff is very good and efficient. They even helped us to book taxi to Shiv Khori and station at very reasonable price. 3 stars are for location, staff and cleanliness. However work needs to be done in Food and size of rooms. Rooms at the back of Hotel are preferable as front rooms facing station road are prone to concurrent noise from the street.

Hotel is pathetic. Rooms are dirty. Bedsheets never changed. Toilet sink are broken. Lifts not operational. You hv to climb till 4th floor. Hotel staff is not helpfull and poor attitude. The picture shown in makemytrip and other portal is very good but actual position is very bad. I would never recommend this hotel.

The low class Hotel it is. The staff is very rude. They tells different rents and claims different by calling 2-3 peoples from other hotel to create pressure on customer to pay the full value. I was also looted. I was told a rent of 1800 Rd. But during checkout they collected 3000 by creating pressure. Beware such fraud hotel Vipin 9017025254

The following thing which indicates that you should not rent this hotel are :- 1) There is not room service 2)The food was very bad 3)We book this hotel for 2 night at 4000INR for 2 Adult 1Child but they said that we book it for only 1 Adult and charges us 500INR as extra charge 4)There is very limited soap and shampoo in bathroom as it is not enough for us and bathroom is also too small 5)The room is not value for money So, finally you should not go to this hotel for a batter trip to Mata Vaishno Devi JAI MATA DI
