Hotel Vaishnodevi Heights

Very nice hotel in katra. Nice hospitality and good manager(Mr Sugriv ji ) . Breakfast was limited but was cooked well was delicious . Room interiors were nice and spacious . Hotel lobby was great. Was close to katra market/bus stand and railway station. Had a pleasant stay.

Best service with best staff. 24*7 water supply with wifi facilities. Excellent dinner with tastiest food in Katra. Best view of Mata Vaishno Devi from hotel. Parking facility available inside hotel. Jai mata di.

Best hotel for me to stay, or maybe on ? I just spent so many days there during my holidays in jan, and then came back to home. Really nice friendly atmosphere, perfect to meet new people, and organise trips together. The rooms were also comfortable, very central. Rooms and their services are good and enough for me, but it is a hotel, and that was part of the community life !”

We stayed at this hotel in March 2021. First the good things/ pros. Food in the restaurant is good, location is ok. Cleanliness is average. They allowed us to leave our bags after checkout in their cloak room, and also offered free drop to train station. Now the not so good things/ Cons. We found some of the staff to be either dishonest or lacking basic knowledge. We were initially told that drop to the “Dwaar” would cost Rs 300/- but later told it is free. We were also told that extended checkout was available by paying half day’s rent but the next day this was denied, and the General Manager was rude and dismissive when we told him that reception staff had told us of the same. He sais who are they to tell us about this rule. The driver who drives guests to the “Dwaar” told us that there were no shops selling chunari (scarf/ chaddar for Vaishno Mata) when you reach the top of the mountain and stopped us at a shop where he probably has a tie-up of some sort. But there were several shops at the top of the mountain selling the same.
