Great Service Provided by entire staff of the hotel, being a independent hotel they are doing a great job.....Overall Experience was really incredible and staff here are really awesome !!! Would recommend every guest to stay here for their incredible service !!!!

The hotel offers budget rooms at a rock-bottom price but the services need lots of improvement. The hotel staff at reception is always missing and there is no good food facility or restaurant here. The walls and accessories also needs serious repair in the rooms.

Hotel South Fern is located on Fern Road near Gariahat. I would rate this hotel as just about average. It is a budget hotel with no real amenities. The staff and the management team also need more customer service training.

This clearly isn’t a hotel in the first place. It’s a residential building turned into a hotel which is obvious from the construction. Location is good, although tucked into an alley and quite far from the main road. So if you’re planning on using public transport you have to walk about a kilometre to reach the main road. Now coming to service. I stayed here for only two nights and wasn’t happy at all. They don’t take good care of their guests. After check-in I needed hot water but the staff was nowhere to be found. There is no proper reception and therefore there is no manning of the entrance desk all the time so you can’t find service if you need at all the time. Room is small and just liveable. There is no kettle or coffee maker in the room and the breakfast is not good at all. Infact I can barely remember something good about the hotel except its price and location.

I stayed at Hotel South fern located at Gariahat between 7th and 11th December 2017. 1)Firstly, the hotel has a very small entrance and no parking space available. 2) There is no reception desk or staff as such, and as soon as you enter the hotel you'll experience bad odour. The place literally stinks and you can also notice some renovation work going on resulting in a lot of litter lying around. 3) There was no water in the bathrooms in any of the 3 rooms that we had booked on our third day. It was solved 4) There are no kettles for making tea/coffe. The breakfast they serve has very limited options. It is not a buffet and gets delivered in your room. The service is unprofessional and the food, ill prepared. eg: if you happen to order a sandwitch for breakfast, all you get is sliced bread with a few slices of raw cucumber and tomatoes in between. 5) There are no lifts, so if you have are old or have health issues then you should avoid this place 6) The property seems like an old building converted to a hotel. It is run by a staff of 2-3 people (Yes, that's right just 2-3 people) so don't expect much service.
