Hotel Gateway Continental

I Sunil Kalia was on holiday trip to Kolkatta my flight landed late as such i booked hotel Gate Continental because of very good location very near to airport i checked on 23.jan 20 & check out on 24 jan 20 one night stay was very good in the morning breakfast was also good

Gateway Continental Hotel and Restaurant VIP Road and Jessore Road Crossing I visited several tiles the Gateway Restaurant with my wife for lunch, dinner and snacks also. The restaurant is very near to my residence and we get lot of amenities to reach and return. The Hotel and Restaurant Gateway Continental is nearest which adds modern architecture and charm with state of the colourful amenities and facilities. The crossing is always busy due to vehicles. But I have never stayed in the hotel. But I have seen the rooms which I feel it is comfortable for staying. Meals are served in rooms from the adjoining restaurant. The location is advantageous. The working hours is from 11 AM to 11 PM on all seven days of the week. About the menus We went on 29 January 2019 for a party. • Chicken Sizzler • Soft drinks (few types) • Two items (take away) for those who could not be present in the party. The rest rooms (toilets) were clean without any sort of bad smell.all around. Flowers were there The behaviours of the servers were modest.

What works.. the place is close the airport so it is convenient for transit passenger.. the rooms and toilets were basic but fairly clean.. the service was professional which seems odd considering that ambiance once one enters the hotel.. What does not work-- the rooms / toilets / ambiance are fairly ancient and would do well to have an renovation.. but for the price one cannot complain.. there is no parking.. the area outside is crowded and does not seem to be very safe.. Other options in the same range near by are Ethonotel / O2 Hotels

Have stayed there 3 times now and twice out of that with my wife while transiting from the airport. The only good thing about the hotel is its location. It is really close to gate no. 1 However that amount of money it charges is for a 3 star hotel whereas it is a good budget hotel. The rooms are small and not well maintained. The bathrooms and towels are shabby. Moreover the facilities are disappointing. Finally the breakfast buffet is a total disaster. They are understaffed during the rush breakfast time (8-10 am) and tables and plates are dirty. All in all, the stay is over priced.

I was on a business trip for 2 days. First day when I left for work, they asked me to submit the key at the reception (quite strange because this is the first time any hotel asked me to do so) Upon returning from work in the evening, I see that my room is all clean and decked up. Now, the concern here is that the staff entered the room when I was not available. I don't think that's a good idea. I usually travel PAN India and this is the first time such a thing has happened I can easily say that this Hotel unapologetically put my Safety and Privacy at risk I would neither go back to this Hotel nor recommend it to anyone
