Babian Imperial Resort

My family stayed in Babian Imperial Resort for 2 days. It was fully booked by my cousin for my nephew's wedding. The staff was very helpful from the start. Rooms are very spacious, well lighted and with a huge bathroom by Lucknow standards. Room service and Housekeeping staff was very quick to respond to any query any time of the day. the food served at all the meals was delicious and of superior quality. Lots of open area in the resort with peacocks moving around. I saw them dancing every morning. ALL IN ALL A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE.

I visited here as couple & I found certain things seriously need to improve.My stay included breakfast for next day but due to certain urgency I checked out same day & hence I requested for 2 Aaloo Paratha& Chai which receptionist refused saying it's for next day & we can't serve it today.I said it's in package with my stay & as I m checking out early I request for same.They said it's against our hotel policy by which I was surprised.Also they focus on asking about though I need room bill at check out or not even after collecting cash of Rs 3000 from me.Also it takes lot of time for hot water to come.Above all maintenance in room is pathetic.They give rooms without checking & say themselves as 3 star.TV remote kept in room was broken& still they gave room.(Pic attached).Housekeeping is other serious concern.They have such wide space but no upkeep.GM was reading newspaper in lobby with cup of tea & was listening to this argument but didn't intervened in this which is a serious concern. Owner of the property seriously need to look in this otherwise it's image will tarnish soon after investing such huge amount of money in this property spread in acres. This place is smack in middle of thick, dense, congested, habitated (let me see if I can find any other word for that sentiment) area. They have a lot of space but the approach is a little tricky. The property is new, has some heritage value and has a nice orchard, couple of lawns as well. The staff is helpful, and these are the good parts. We stayed there for the night of 31st, while travelling from Delhi to Gorakhpur. As this place is close to the new Delhi-LKO express way, it popped up on OYO and we booked it as our stopover. There was a family celebration arranged at their hotel. The function and the ensuing bon-homie continued till 3AM in the night. I called the front desk about 2-3 times asking them to manage the guests. One set of people should not ruin the night of others at a hotel, but probably the staff is way too polite to intervene. After 3 when all the melodrama stopped, then started the loudspeakers of the nearby habitations - all the temples and moques started one after the other. It was one hell of a stay, a nightmare to stay the least. If you are lucky, you wont get the unruly guests as company, but the loudspeakers are there to stay. Did I forget the mosquitoes? I think I didnt mention the mattresses that still had the plastic covers on. Please stay away if you mind any of these!! Just avoid!!
