Lakewood Resort

The location of the resort as well as the ambience is very nice. The management and all staff members are very helpful and cooperative. Excellent service. Cleanliness is maintained in the cottages as well as in the entire premises. Food quality is very delicious. Special thanks to Mr. Ravi Musale for his guidance and advice. He is not only a very cooperative person but also a versatile Singer. According to me, everyone should visit the Lakewood Resorts and Spa.

Fantastic look and feel for the entire place. Premium wooden cottage construction work spik and span status of maintenance, cleanliness, hygiene. Luxury fitting, flooring. Well maintained lawns and paves. Good food but very narrow options for vegetarians. We didn't opt for buffet meal package so we ordered from ala carte only. Veg and paneer Manchurian, paneer chilli - they were all similar in taste, not much distinct, but were tasty so no complaints. Quantity was also ok for the high rates. Room service quality is good. Buffet breakfast was a big big let down. Poha, misal were not upto the mark. Common options like nice cookies, Dosa counter, Bournvita milk, udid wada are MUST for such luxury stay places. Egg to order were just kept undisclosed, nobody knew about it till we were over with those limited few unwanted bf items. And when we got to know about it and ordered omelette, it was almost burnt but anyway it was too little too late. Swimming pool was nice and large but can't say clean. But that's ok, not too dirty. Lighting for the exterior of the rooms I personally felt bit too much and intruding and spoiling the starry night feel. Staff is quite rude and not really welcoming. Restaurant staff was really much better and helpful. Karaoke made the stay here memorable but got to know about it way too late at 10.30pm, otherwise we could have enjoyed more. Do remember this one.

This pace is far from anywhere, but once inside, just relax and enjoy. We drove from Kas (Satara) and took almost 3 hours in the rainy season. It is equally far if you come via Mahabaleshwar. Tapola is also know as "Chhota Kashmir", a lovely area with Koyna backwater on three sides. Just relax and enjoy, take long walks, spend time of lakeside, take a boat ride.. there are some adventure sports also available. Do not pack too much of sightseeing etc. Rooms are well laid like wooden cabins, food is good. Best part are elevated machans where you can sit in evening and enjoy a lovely view. There is a Karaoke singing available in evening where they try to involve all inmates.
