It was a family trip this March. Though the weather played like villian so we stayed indoor for 2 days. Location is very good , room service very good, food very tasty and big portion. The buffet breakfast was very good with good variety. Except the room size compared to hotels I stayed in Rishikesh and Haridwar was a bit small and as there was no wardrobe it was a bit of problem otherwise everything was extremely good. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Mussoorie

Great place to stay for family and friends, courteous staff and good food. The best part was the food that too at very reasonable price.Staff there was very supportive and I really liked the Idea of giving additional stuff in the room like chips and juices at market price which is really helpful when you have kids or you are lazy 😜. Rooms are very clean and have all the amenities which makes your stay pleasant and worry free.

First, because we had a larger vehicle, a tempo traveller, our vehicle couldn’t access the road that leads to the hotel. In all fairness, the agent who booked us in should have known this, but I’m putting it in as it might help others arriving in harder vehicles. We had to hire another vehicle to get to the hotel small enough to access the road. We had booked a family room, which wasn’t available so we were put in two separate double rooms which was inconvenient. Again, I’m not sure if the agent messed up the booking, but we were shifted to a family room the following day. Now for the actual hotel itself. It’s saving grace is it’s location. Otherwise, the bathroom is very small with no proper drainage, there were no bath mats provided (we asked for some), no toilet paper (we asked for some) and the sheets and pillow covers were stained (we asked to have them changed). Now for the dinner and breakfast. The spread was just bare basics. And there was no cutlery. There were never any forks. We probably had better expectations of the property and were thus disappointed because of lack of basic amenities.

View point from hotel window is nice. But inside room there was a suffocating smell and toilet was dirty.some ceiling room lights were not working. Lights were very low inside room and bathroom. Don't expect too much from photos. I had given option for higher floor with mountain view in makemytrip site at the time of booking. Though it was not full filled. I Am going to rate poor, because only one night can be spend in this hotel. Those who want to stay more than one night they should go for other hotel.

Pathetic service, bad rooms, stinky toilets with leakages, stained bed sheets, bad WiFi. The only thing good about the hotel was the view. It was an absolute waste of my money. Stay at Amara when you absolutely have nowhere else to go
