Decent sized rooms and very good view point. The staff was helpful and very attentive to details. The only thing which needs to be improved a tenny bit is about timings. The breakfast as well as dinner were pretty delayed. If this is improved then it will be a perfect place

We stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days 20th Nov to 24th Nov 2021. The hotel is just across the Dal Lake. The rooms have all the amenities of a 5 star, the rooms are clean with fabulous views of the Daulatdhar mountains and the city, a little away from the hustle bustle of the town noise, very close to Naddi. The staff is always smiling and ready to help out at any time. The food portions are big and the food is delicious. Calling in to find out where we had reached on day one and if we needed help in reaching the hotel to enquiring daily if we need anything during our stay, to packing some Mayo sandwiches for our onward journey, their hospitality and warmth will stay as a pleasant memory of our holiday in Himachal. Thank you Nandini and team. Would highly recommend Shiva Sanctuary to all visiting Mcleodganj. The pictures on their website don't do much justice to the quality of the spaces they have. Morning breakfast buffet too has a good spread and choices to choose from. Would like to add our cabbié ( Innova Crysta) Batan Bhaiya (09816366388) who was another key factor who contributed to our trip being fabulous. He was there throughout our journey and we visited most of the Shakti peeth Jwalaji, Chintapurni, Chamunda Devi, Bagalamukhi, Brajeshwari Devi Kangra, Ram Mandir, Baijnath, Dharamshala, Mcleodganj. He showed us local farms, apple orchards, recommended local dhabas for food, he was very caring, knows the local terrain and drove safe. Please do connect with him if you are looking for a good taxi and a humble honest human being. We did do a lot of research before going but few facts which we did not know was that the distance from Amritsar to Dharamshala is 41/2hours only. We had no connecting flights from Chennai to Delhi to Dharmashala so we had long waits at the airports. So anyone wanting to go from Chennai can take a direct flight from Chennai to Amritsar ( they closed direct flight from Chennai to Chandigarh from Nov 1st else that's another option)and then go forward by taxi. Our stay at Shiva Sanctuary was very pleasant and the staff was very helpful and courteous as well.. Everyone from Abdul Lateef at reception to the restaurant people. Everyone helped in making this visit perfect for us.

We stayed from 23rd to 25th October 2021. The hotel is very clean and hygiene is well maintained. Staff - Mr. Lateef, Mr. Atul, Mr. Manish, Mr. Sumit and Mr. Viju are very friendly as well as professional. They made our stay very comfortable. The food, especially the breakfast is superb. The location is just next to the famous Dal lake. The Mall road is about 2 KM. In fact all tourist points are nearby. We got the upgrade of the rooms which had the great front view from balcony. Overall a wonderful stay at hotel Amod Shiva.

We had a very great time during our stay at this hotel. The view of the mountain from our room is very nice! The hotel is away from the main market, that is why I chose it, to stay away from the noise & crowd. The hotel room is having furnishing and styling matching 90% to that of one of the top 3 5-star hotels located in Nariman Point, Mumbai. The staff of front-desk, restaurant, house-keeping are all extremely helpful. The restaurant offered us pure-Jain food as needed. It offers both veg. and non-veg. food by keeping entirely separate kitchen and utensils for both. The one thing which I did not like however is that the Jacuzzi is fitted in double-occupancy room but not in couple-friendly room. Problem is that after coming from Triund Trekking, one need to take full rest by soaking legs in bath-tub else it is very painful.
