This is a large and beautiful hotel in a nice location of Delhi. I traveled with my 2 children and were given 2 rooms — one in the main building and the other in the towers.
The rooms were clean and very well maintained by housekeeping. They are iPad enabled. A buffet breakfast is included which serves a mix of north and south Indian cuisine, Chinese and continental.
My two main challenges were around check-in and room functionality. The check-in process was quite slow. When I asked that the two rooms be placed together, the check-in attendant acknowledged my request but instead assigned rooms in two separate hotel sections without explanation. Because the check-in process was already so slow, I didn’t bother making a second request to fix the room assignment. Despite my trust in the Maurya’s safety, the hotel should be mindful of separating families with children in the future. Second, the rooms were powered by key card holders near the door. My keycard stopped working, resulting in a room out of electrical power. Since I was only spending 2 nights, I dealt with the inconvenience and used my iPhone flashlight to navigate, but still feel that a hotel of this stature should be able to offer improved front desk service and room functionality.
Other aspects of the hotel were quite nice (lovely lobby, nice business center, helpful concierge and bell staff). The Mediterranean restaurant served wonderful risotto and gelato, and offered attentive service.
