First about FabHotels - the website I used for booking this hotel. FabHotel is a con job.
On booking this hotel, Fab gave me the option of paying at the hotel. Later they sent me a mail saying that hotel was almost full, and that I should pay 25% of the total amount payable to reserve my room. I paid. On reaching the hotel I found that I was the ONLY resident as it was days leading to Holi - the biggest festival of Bihar. Moreover, on reaching the hotel the Receptionist refused my booking as their hotel did not have a tie-up with Fab. Later they looked at the balance amount payable (75% of the total) and found it attractive enough to give me a room as the hotel was, otherwise, completely empty.
So the summary - Fab cons travelers into paying them a fat commission and then leaves the traveler to his or her fate. They have NO AGREEMENT with Aastha Inn.
Now, about Aastha Inn. It is located in a dirty and congested part of Exhibition Road, the commercial hub of Patna. There are several restrictions on traffic movement there.
The hotel itself is in a cul-de-sac and looks neat and peaceful. The room is like any other room in a shabby hotel - small and overcrowded. Most of the staff, as they claimed, had left for Holi holidays. The restaurant was closed. Though they offered to get food for me from outside, I did not try. There was no one to clean the room but someone changed the sheet in the one of the evenings when I requested.
Overall it is manageable if you are alone, can rough it out a bit and have work in that part of the city. I paid Rs. 3500 (including Fab's commission) for two nights whereas hotels like this should not cost more Rs. 1000 per night, all-inclusive.
