Houseboat is beautiful and well maintained with great service by Mr. Tariq and his brother. They are down to earth people, home way home, must vist. Peaceful and beautiful. Definitely will come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at houseboat Golden hopes in Kashmir which was organised by Mr Tariq he was very helpful to arrange all our requirements for our 5 days journey starting pickup from Srinagar airport and all the transportation for all the sightseeing places like gulmarg pahalgam sonmarg local sightseeing in Srinagar city tour til drop at Srinagar airport . Thanks Tariq ji for making our holiday memoriable we are already think to plan another trip to Kashmir in summer.

Situated on the backwaters of the Dal Lake, Golden Hopes is perfectly located for travelers looking for a relaxing holiday. A 10-15 minute shikhara ride from Ghat No. 14 (complimentary ride provided to and fro once each day) brings you to this houseboat away from the cluttered row of houseboats opposite Boulevard Road. The chirping birds and lovely views of the backwaters and mountains in the distance will provide you with a wonderful opportunity to unwind. The houseboat and the rooms are neat and clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and hot water is available round the clock. Wifi is also available so you need not worry about connectivity. The meals provided are authentic home cooked Kashmiri meals and we loved our dinners on the boat. Breakfast included eggs, toast, butter, jam and tea while dinner comprised of chicken/fish, vegetables, dal, chapati and rice. Our booking included breakfast and dinner. If not included with your booking, meals will cost Rs 400 per head. Last but not least, the hosts - Tariq and Ray were extremely hospitable and we enjoyed our conversations with them. They will ensure you are well taken care of during your stay. I would recommend a minimum of 2 nights to truly enjoy the solace and relaxation on this houseboat.

I have been travelling within the country for a long time now and I can say from personal experience that Golden Hopes Houseboat (at Ghat number 14, Srinagar) has given me a lifetime of memories that I will never forget! Run by brothers Tariq and Ray, this houseboat is away from the hustle-bustle of city life, and has some of the best views to offer from the patio. It is also clean, well-maintained, has attached bathrooms and a WiFi connection that has helped me work from Kashmir without any hiccups. Yes, I lived here for a month while working from home! The kindness of the brothers, their desire to render best service to their clients and the home-cooked food they serve here will always make me want to come back to Kashmir. In short, my work from Kashmir trip would have been nothing without Golden Hopes Houseboat, and Tariq and Ray bhai. May God bless you two kind souls ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We stayed here for 4 nights and really wanted to extend the stay. I have been to Kashmir several times and have stayed in 2 other houseboats. This one was my best experience. That's how good was the hospitality and the surrounding. It has a great view of lotus farms and you can get a great insight into what Dal lake life looks like. Golden hopes has an amazing location and the best hosts one can find. Tariq, Ray take care of you like family. They will organise whatever you may need from shikara rides to Kahwa, Zaffran to carry it back with you. We also had a couple of meals on the boat. The food was very good and breakfast was included. I will most definitely be coming back to the houseboat. Must must visit.
