One of the cleanest, nicest hotels I've stayed in in India. Everything is newly remodeled and functions well. There's no restaurant in-house but the staff will order from a nearby restaurant which delivers at no charge. My father and I never took advantage of this. Complementary breakfast was not worth it - pretty bad, actually. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close walking distance to Assi ghat and a quick rickshaw drive to other, more popular ghats further north. Ideal location if you want to be close to the action but not in the action (there's no restaurant or rooftop view of the Ganges). Overall, I found the price and quality of this hotel to be unmatched in India. Highly recommend.

Best Hotel and accomodation to stay with family at Varanasi near Assi ghat..great rooms, toilet facilities, support and caretakers...would recommend and visit again...Walkin distance from Assi ghaat, newly built hotel and staff guide for help and coordination...

As a Western European couple, having spent the past six weeks travelling around India and having experienced numerous accommodations, I have to say that Vandana Residency is by far the best place we have yet stayed; by Indian standards a 5*. It is not perfect (by European standards a 4*) but for us it was a true haven of peace, tranquility and cleanliness to come back to after the utter madness that is Varanasi. All the staff - but one of the managers Montu in particular- was particularly wonderful. He was incredibly helpful and kind and most eager that we got everything we asked for. If something was missing or anything went wrong (inevitable anywhere in India we are discovering!) he would ensure it was rectified quickly. He also shared some of his personal life with us, which gave us remarkable insight into certain elements of the Indian culture. This felt very special for us and we feel enriched by our experience there as a result. If we ever came back to Varanasi I would definitely choose to stay there and it is the ONLY hotel in India so far I would recommend to people I know.

This is a new hotel near Assi ghat.Rooms are small but clean n well maintained.But the worst part is they will charge you for extra for more than one dish although breakfast is included .Suppose u order paratha n omlet ,they will charge 4 omlet This is unacceptable.Staffs are helpful but need more manpower.It is near to Assi ghat but donot offer Ganga view.
