Brijrama Palace Varanasi

We had an absolutely enthralling experience staying at this heritage property. It is located right on the banks of the Ganges and right next to Dashashwamedh Ghat - the main Ghat of Varanasi, making it undoubtedly, the best located property in Varanasi. The mesmerising views, the lights and sounds of the banks of the Ganges, the cultural vibe of the city can be felt from the many terraces of the property facing the Ghats. It is at a walking distance from Kashi Vishwanath Temple (few 100 meters) and the famous food outlets of the town. The interiors of the property are exceptionally beautiful. The are beautiful sittings across the many terraces and wide corridors of the property which makes the overall experience very enthralling, especially if you are travelling in a group. The rooms too are exceptionally well appointed like any other 5 star hotel. The only area where I can possibly say there is scope for improvement, it is the food. It is still very good but then when everything else is so exceptional, one starts expecting the same in food too. On the positive side, the food is not very spicy and oily and hence light on the stomach. Special thanks to Yoga Guru - Ved Prakash Pathak ji who conducts yoga sessions on the terrace in mornings. The knowledge which he imparted during our stay will forever stay with us. I cant recall the names but the flute performances in the courtyard and the evening classical dances added extra zing to the already mesmerising stay at this property.

If you'd been to Varanasi and used to the tiny streets, dark corridored Hotel and frequent power cuts, you're in a world of surprise. Travel is via boats (free of cost, thanks BrijRama!) and the Hotel is right on the banks of Ganga. The Hotel is impeccable, staff the kindest, attentive and helpful. Food (breakfast and dinner) was great with plentiful options. Live music, henna sessions make an impression that you carry long after you'd left the place. Are there things that can improve? Yes, maybe have a road accessible entrance for seniors who cannot climb the steep ghat steps or a chairlift on the Ghat itself. And, publish the number to reach the front desk. I had frustrating time trying to reach the front desk during power cut and got to know the "secret" number during check out.

A heritage 5 star property right on the bank of river Ganga. Well maintained, well decorated and very good service and excellent staff. The property provides complimentary pick up and drop from other ghat to the hotel by private boat. Also offers complimentary high tea in the evening and boat ride to have Darshan of the Ganga Aarti every evening. The hotel is also very close to the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the newly opened Corridor connecting the temple to bank of Holy River Ganga. If the budget permits, this is THE place to stay in Varanasi if the interest revolves around The Temple and Holy River Ganga and the activities in Varanasi.

The location of BrijRama is spot on and the palace has been meticulously restored. We stayed at the Varuna Burj with a 180 deg view of the river & ghats - it was absolutely spectacular. The entire team at BrijRama exemplifies great service and consideration for the guests. We had a couple of glitches with our dinner order and a car service arrangement but it was a small inconvenience in our overall wonderful experience. The back streets are worth walking about and a night walk along the length of the ghats in both directions from BrijRama is highly recommended. Overall BrijRama is a must stay when visiting Varanasi on leisure as it just completes the overall Varanasi experience.

Nice location, convenient to reach by private boat. Rooms are nice and food in restaurant was delicious. Service was excellent. Daily evening music and dancing was relaxing and classical. Overall , place is little pricy but worth staying. You will really enjoty Varanasi better than any other place.
