The Taj Vilas

The stay was very nice. very near to taj mahal. we enjoyed a lot. all markets were nearby. food and breakfast both were served nicely. very hygenic as per covid norms. loved my stay with them. staff was also well informed.

I have booked the property after going through the MMT and Tripadvisor reviews, But after reaching there, first view impression was not really satisfactory as the pictures are old in websites, front look of the Hotel is so old and not maintained. But the service, facilities and cooperation was so good, which overlapped all my thoughts. though I had travel with my two young kids. Management have upgraded the room size when I have asked without any extra charges (as big room was available) Food was ok ( I had only breakfast). No out space (some walk area etc.), only building is there on the area. Location of the Hotel is really perfect.

I only stayed for one night, and I really enjoyed my time here. My room was clean and comfortable, but the service at breakfast was really poor - hence the lower score. And it’s such a shame as the breakfast was actually really tasty. Breakfast was a self-service buffet, and you could order an omelette. People (with no manners) were pushing in and shouting at the poor guy who was cooking the omelettes. Eventually the kitchen started cooking the omelettes too. We weren’t allowed to help ourselves to tea and coffee; instead the waiting staff were supposed to fill our cups, but we had to wait 20 minutes for a cup, and then another 10 minutes for the coffee! Not good - especially when you’ve given yourself plenty of time for breakfast, but end up not being able to fully enjoy it.

Booking a hotel like taj vilas, Agra comes with it’s backdrops. We were welcomed by the impudent hospitality of the receptionist Mr. Gopala, who refused us entry into the hotel at 11:20pm in the night. He argued that our booking for two rooms and four rooms allows only one in each bedroom. The point could have passed as a fair one if only the two bookings had a significant price difference. Despite having only a Rupees 100 price between them, we were ready to pay Rupees 500 for our booking. Nevertheless, seizing this opportunity as a perfect excuse to cash in the receptionist asked for Rupees 1000 and made us wait an hour. He argued thoroughly as he wanted to make an extra buck through our misery. Additionally, utterly humiliated my father, mother, and even my grandmother by denying them the room access. Furthermore the hotel is unpleasant in its aesthetic appeal and the rooms just don’t pass for the price listed. PLEASE AVOID!!!

Third rate hotel , on 22nd we reached the hotel at 11:30 for night halt, with my wife was harassed and most regrettable was that the front desk manager Mr Gopal was rude and unprofessional. Highly not recommended even if it’s free. The rooms are smelly and not worth even for night halt
