Great South Indian Resturant food is delicious and service is good too went for lunch it was amazing

29 March, 2018 and 01 April, 2018. Neat, clean, stylish, upmarket, a bit costly, and a bit inconsistent. These adjectives often do not go hand-in-hand. We patronised this joint on two days, 29 March (Thursday), and 01 April (Sunday). Both times, we had our lunch here. We were four adults and a child. The decor of the restaurant is classy: the colour scheme, the decorations (a bronze statue is beautiful), and the interior part of the restaurant is cordoned off to give an exclusive feel: we had patronised this part on our first visit. The staff is prompt and cheerful. The first day saw us quite hungry. We started with the dahi vada, which was nice. So was a pasta with vegetables. We ordered some plain dal and rice, which was decent enough. A mixed vegetable preparation was made to our specifications: to go easy on the spices. The second day's fare was a bit disappointing. A sauteed mushroom and capsicum with rice should not have been done in an Indian manner, with an extremely spicy gravy. The rotis and mixed vegetable preparation was nice and just low on spice as we expected it to be. The joint gives its history: it had started off as an ice cream parlour. This was a slight disappointment, as they served a popular brand of ice cream (not their own). We ordered a mango shake, and variants of ice cream-based desserts. The place is a bit costly for its fare.

We had Dinner and the Complimentary breakfast that was included in our stay in the hotel. Please believe me when I tell you that they made the best Sambhar and Chutneys that are served with other south Indian dishes. We ate Hong Kong Sezwan Dosai ( MUST TRY ) and Mix Veg Uttappam in the dinner which were really yummy. Breakfast didn't had much options as the items are fixed but it is enough and completely satisfactory.

So I went here after a very long time and the quality has really degraded. I ordered Mexican pizza which was good, but dosa and idli were not up to the mark. Definitely recommend to improve their sambhar. The staff is courteous and prices are reasonable.
