    Beautiful historic haveli in old city of Ahmedabad. Narayan was great at greeting us at late hour. He made us tea and toast - very welcome. traditional Indian breakfast- very delicious 😋 Narayan’s tour of Jain temples much appreciated.

    This beautiful little haveli tucked away in old town is not only extremely comfortable and clean but also boasts one of the best caretakers ever, Narayan. He took all the trouble to ensure our stay was welcoming and safe (we were a group of girls unfamiliar with Ahmedabad). He cooked excellent vegetarian food as you might find in any Indian home, plus was happy to arrange for reliable transport and advise on touring the city. Additionally, he also took us on small tours around the old town (night walk, temple tours, etc.) and shared the history of the place and culture. It's cozy ambiance allowed us to meet fellow travelers as well. Really fantastic experience!

    Dodhia Haveli has been converted into a boutique heritage home. It is a wooden heritage house with a carved facade. Quite picturesque. The Haveli is located in the heart of the old city. For anyone who stays here, s/ he will be transported back in time. But old city also means it's in a narrow lane where a 4-wheeler may not be suitable.

    Old style small haveli which has been very tastefully decorated. Decent breakfast. Very good service by the caretaker. One must be aware though that it is situated in a very old part of the city with narrow lanes into which cabs cannot enter. Requires some walking to come to a main road. Also the staircase is narrow and steep and may be difficult to climb for old people. I considered it an out of the way experience but my parents who have seen plenty of old style houses in their time were unimpressed and thought it was a big waste of money.

    A small haveli has 2 rooms managed by one hotel staff. It is located in a narrow alley of the old quarter. Although the haveli was dated and not as beautiful as in the pictures but still nice. The bed was comfortable. Complimentary walking tour in the evening by the hotel staff was good. Stairs to both rooms are narrow and steep that would be a problem for old people. The major issue was constant noises from neighbors and strayed dogs. Overall we think the room overpriced and too noisy to stay.
