  • Basic, gets the job done

For a 4-bed-dorm style room that costs 999, this place is a steal. Went there with friends and just needed a place to crash for the night. Not recommended for families or cleanliness freaks. We went in with very low expectations, and this place was great. We walked from here to all the important places(Golden temple, Kallianwala bagh), and the owner was able to get us tuktuk anytime we needed to go far (Gobindgarh fort and Wagah). Do explore if you want a cheap place to crash.

Wow backpackers was awesome place for me from the point view of location, accessibility and safety... It is in main market, all places were walkable and punjabi famous food were surrounded to it... Enjoyed kitchen facilities, washrooms are good, team is very supportive and management is very good.. thank you Vicki for your help.. worth going for simple and basic amenities requirements even for family rooms. Quotes on wall are inspiring..
  • Very Basic

Location is good in the back streets not far from the Temple and the guy who runs it is friendly and helpful but the hostel is extremely basic. The mattresses are very thin and equivilant to sleeping on concrete. I had the budget private room which was dirty with no hot water or no daylight. The public bathrooms are dirty and there are limited social places which is not good considering it's a hostel.
  • Good attencion but expensive and dirty

I’ve been in this hostel for 2 days. The attencion was amazing and the location is very good (close to golden temple) but the room (private room) is expensive because the place is dirty and you don’t have common areas.
  • Nothing WOW about this hostel...

There is definitely nothing wow about this hostel at all. Placed down a dodgy area of Amritsar (the area around the golden temple is so lovely in comparison!) the staff was unwelcoming and not very friendly. Our room was meant to be the private room complete with a broken glass table, dirty floor and bedsheets and who knows what was on the ceiling. The beds where rock solid, no exaggeration - we used our travel towels and travel pillows to sleep on. The bathroom taps did not work and there was no WiFi access unless you were willing to stand on the stairs. They did have kitchen facilities which we didn’t use due to cleanliness. I wouldn’t recommend you stay here at all. The cost is cheap but if you want somewhere clean and somewhere comfortable, this definitely isn’t the place.
