Had a pleasant stay at One Earth. Golden Temple is literally steps away from the hotel. Hotel is clean with an overall good service. The restaurant service was amazing and the food was fresh & tasty as well.

As the title says the property is located very close to Shri Harmindar Sahib you can visit as many as time you want, also Baba Atal Singh Gurudwara is next to the hotel you can also visit the same, the property room service is excellent with clean room, prompt service and good food to explore nearby as well as in the restaurant nearby. One can book without any hesitation if their primarily visit is to Golden Temple. One Note please call the reception to know the exact location of the property as the navigation maps could be little confusing, the best landmark is "Baba Atal Singhji" Gurudwara. Will surely book the same place next time too.

Stayed here for a night during my Amritsar stay. I chose this hotel deliberately as it seemed to be a perfect option for a budget stay and extremely close proximity to the Golden Temple, and both the boxes were ticked nicely. Here are pro's and con's of this hotel. Pro's ----- 1) I feel it's one of the good stays available if proximity to the Golden Temple is on top of your mind. This allows one to feel the charm and positive vibes of Golden Temple and old vibrant lanes of Amritsar, multiple times of the day. E.g. We could visit Golden temple 2-3 times a day (early morning, noon and at night). This is otherwise not practical if you stay outside the walled city. 2) Professionally maintained property, cordial and helping staff, clean and comfortable rooms. 3) Nice restaurant with beautiful décor serves reasonably good food and basic "no-frills" breakfast which justifies the budget. The restaurant team is small but very cordial and friendly. Service could get slower due to this, but we were overall happy and found it in line with budget. 4) If you manage to get one of the top floors with windows - one can view the peripheral campus of the Golden temple and have a panoramic view of old Amritsar landscape from the terrace. Con's ----- 1) Be almost certain that your private 4 wheeler WILL NOT be able to drop you till hotel gates. This is irrespective of what hotel management says. They will assure you that the vehicle "CAN" come till hotel gate, and they are right about it. But please understand that no responsible driver "WILL" like to enter the crazily jammed lanes leading to hotel. My cab agency was very much a local, and driver was a native Amritsar fellow, and he could barely manage dropping us till gates, that too because we had luggage. He did not venture again for subsequent trips and advised us to take small battery auto till nearby road and picked/dropped us till there. Be prepared to shell-out anywhere between 50 to 200 bucks per trip just to get out of the narrow lanes. So, to summarize it - it's technically possible for the 4-wheelers to come till gate, but no driver will venture here (especially local ones who know the scene). I was made aware of this by my cab agency, but there was always an option of taking a battery auto till car parking and we were kind of prepared for that. 2) I feel the front-desk team can be bit more agile and responsive to requests like moving luggage. We had kept our luggage in the store room as we arrived earlier than check-in time. Later we found that luggage room was clogged fully with huge bags of other guests, and we had to remove our bags after a lot of effort. I think there should be a systematic way to tag the luggage to ensure it's safe. It seems anyone could simply enter the store room and access it which seems unsafe and prone to unintentional misplacements. To summarize, if one keeps their expectations in alignment with the rates, this property has lot of good points than the bad ones. We were overall happy with our stay.

The best thing about this place is the location-- one can vouche that it is just next to the Golden Temple(not the main entrance though). Its a basic hotel and nothing else. Advantage is you can visit the temple multiple times during your stay How to reach in one shot will baffle you...guess the Atal Rai Sahib Gurudwara is the landmark provided the locals acknowledge it. One reason maybe they just do not want to venture inside the narrow lanes maybe.With my family I got down at the main parking lot and had a torrid time reaching this place. So my advice will be to just take a battery operated auto in case you get dropped near the main parking lot. The check in was smooth though the staff seemed quite a laid back lot as the execution time of getting luggage etc was very long. However the rooms need s a face lift I think especially with the location it has...rooms had cracked wall etc...maybe covid impacted. The linen was torn which was immediately changed the moment we pointed out so that was good The hotel provides drops to the main temple entry and Jalianwala bagh and that was nice. Breakfast was pretty average and the staff was lukewarm to say the least. Rooms have no view as its part of the old city. So ventilation and all can be a bit tricky I guess So to sum up, if you want to stay next to the Golden temple and have some basic expectations from a hotel just go for it as the proximity is the great thing this hotel has with the Golden temple Also since the hotel offers drop to the temple for the checked in guest maybe for arrival they should have a pick up for the guest arranged from the temple's parking lot. This will be a big win for the guests and the hotel!!

The hotel is very well located in a very close proximity to the Golden temple. If you are arriving to this property by car, then it is located in a very congested locality and is very difficult to locate it through google maps. There is no parking provided by the property and it is very difficult to park and remove your luggage. The staff is not at all courteous and do not go out of their way to help the guests leave alone help with any basic information regarding the locality. The hotel rooms are very cramped and is just bare minimum. Hotel corridor seems very shady and does not compliment the self stars given by the hotel. The bed sheets and towels are dirty and does not seem like they have been washed. Washrooms do not have good toiletries and is not ergonomically designed. Ventilation and exhaust system in the washroom is very bad and feels stuffy. Food menu and breakfast service is very good and the food is very tasty. I would recommend this property ONLY if you want a hotel close to the Golden Temple and are not worried about the hygiene or size of the hotel rooms.
