Recently stayed at Grand central hotel bhubneswar near old station road. Very convenient for ppl coming to bhubneswar by train. hotel is very near platform 6.its around 200 mts from main road.approach road is bit dirty and heavy traffic due to station.complimentary breakfast is simple.puri.idly.upma.boiled egg.parotha.bread .omlet can be ordered free.aloo saag is tasty.same breakfast repeated daily.free coffee and tea served in room till 8am.rooms r simple and clean. Very effective AIRCON. house keeping done daily.very helpful front desk .arranged a innova vehicle for sightseeing at reasonable price.receptionist lady named DURGA always smiling and helpful in arranging tours and sightseeing. This hotel is only for families and solo business travellers. Local ID not allowed.one thing to note room service ppl r not allowed to bring outside food or drinks for guest. They didn't allow even to get one good quality soap for me.instead they sent me their hotel soap.

If you need to book cab for anywhere then they will not come to pickup at hotel because of auto association monopoly. You need to walk around 600-700 metres along with your luggage till main road to catch the same, which is pathetic experience in such a hot and humid weather. Railway Station is walkable distance from here. Rooms are OK but service is very Bad. AC was not working in the given room so had to change it, then came to know that Landline is not working in the new room. Had to go to Reception 3-4 times just to order tea because they were not serving the order at once. Mobile network has a big issue inside the Hotel even you will not get 2G in the Restaurant, Lift etc. Ordered Club Sandwich in Restaurant, they served cold sandwich. When I raised the concern they said that this hotel prepare like this only. Then I ordered Aalu Paratha which was tasty.

Its near to railway station. If you are traveling by train its in a good location (walkable to platform 6). Rest all are negative for a 3 star hotel ... No Fridge, No Bar in the restaurant, Food is NOT good, Staffs are not well trained, Reception is not very friendly/effective (I called 3 times to get back my ID card they kept while checking in), wifi is limited (1 or 2 GB per day), room/bathroom condition is not great,

Poor location, extremely unfriendly front desk , conveyance issues as cabs have a pick up point quite far off from the hotel gate ! The hotel promises you a cab facility but backs off at the last moment .

Very uncooperative staff, stinking rooms and poorly located hotel. Would not recommend anyone to come to this hotel even for free. They simply refused to every basic requests. Rooms were very pathetic.
