Great Hospitality, Excellent Staff

We stayed at this property for just one night. Though we checked in late night The staff at the counter was very welcoming and yes we were bit Sad due to some personal issues and staff was very responsive as he noticed we us and offered if he could do smt about it which was really great . I don’t remember his name however i would like to extend a big thanks and obviously he requires it. This response i may not even get from 5star Hotel. Though it was a bad day for Us the people there specially the guy at reception made us feel better.. it might be a hotel with small room but it has people with big hearts. I would rate its hospitality to the best. And the staff response was also quick for anything we required. Usually I don’t take much time to write reviews but this deserves to be recognised. Special thanks to the guy at reception sorry I didn’t notice his name, I wanted to mention his name.
Great Staff!

We arrived at 5am and they put our bags in the room, ready for our return later in the day. Rooms are smallish and on the upper floors very densely packed. Lots of enthusiastic boys keen to help out and earn a tip but it was the staff who proved endlessly helpful, we needed to get to the airport late in so they kept bags, allowed us the use of a toilet and organised a taxi. There is a good “cafe” right opposite and it’s an easy walk to the station.
Professional staff could really make this a "Business Hotel"

This property is in prime location and is located about 500 meters from Chennai Central railway station. Very convenient to go around. There are good restaurants nearby. There is no restaurant in this hotel. One has to pay every time upfront to the room service boys to get a cup of coffee, which is a nuisance. These boys charged me Rs. 30/- for a cup of coffee brought from the street corner!!!
The people who man the reception needs to trained properly to handle business guests if they want this to be a real business hotel. There was no hot water supply to the room on both the days of my stay. They bring an immersion rod to place in the bucket to warm up the water for bath like a local lodge (very dangerous). Room service boys are to be trained properly.
During check-out the GST bill was not given when demanded though they collected the Tax. I reported this to the Travel portal through which I had made reservations. After a phone call the hotel people sent me an invoice for Rs. 48/- lesser than what they charged as GST.
On the whole, if anyone want to stay without expectation then this is a good place. Living area and bathroom are kept very clean.
Helpful Front Desk

The first room we were shown had dirty sheets from previous guest and mold growing in the bathroom. It did not smell good! We were moved to a lower floor which was basic but adequate for our stay.
This is a budget hotel in a good area for sightseeing. Unfortunately I had a fall and needed medical help.
Front desk were very helpful in finding me a driver to take me to local hospital. I had to have bed rest and again the staff were fantastic ordering us takeaways during this time.
Thank you
Barely a 2-star hotel.

Benefits: Attentive staff, and an elevator. Easy to extend stay as necessary, and given a discount for doing so. Will change large $US at the market rate. Walking distance to local halal restaurants.
Deficits: A barely maintained basic hotel with battered fittings, a thin and lumpy coil-sprung mattress, fitful plumbing, an unmeshed louvred window (mosquito gate), a bathroom door that didn't close and narrow corridors, all within cooee of the local mosque (Echo! Echo! Echo!).
There was only an irregular supply of bottled water, for which I ended up buying from the hotel. (Either supply or don't, but don't leave it uncertain from day to day.)
A 'discount' applied for paying in advance was offset by an almost equal amount in the final bill at check-out, much to my irritation: if reception (the co-owner on a stool) can't do the sums, that is the hotel's problem. I paid the quoted amount in good faith; the hotel should have been gracious in return. It almost smacked of sharp practice, especially when done just as I was being picked up.
Mine was a cool and silent departure.
