"We stayed at Hotel Sonar Bangla on our trip to Darjeeling and it was great. A nice cosy hotel which was located in the city center. A very convenient location because all the attractions were at a walking distance. Very budget friendly hotel with decent rooms and a good breakfast spread. The staff were very nice and friendly, esp. Ramesh and free breakfast served in the room itself, was great. The manager Mr Banerjee was very cooperative. The duplex Room was perfect for myself and my wife. Our room faced the mountainview. Enjoyed staying there. Would definite stay here again!"

hotel is in good location. Neat and clean. suggest to book super delux and above category room which is white snow view mountain facing. prefer top floor. Food is good & limited option but not on high quality. No fruit available. we were able to see kanchanjunga from our hotel room.

Location is good. Very near to the keventer's and a small uphill road just opposite the hotel goes straight to the glenary's. Food is really good. But the rooms are a bit costly in terms of the rates they charge. Rooms need a bit maintenance . Water supply is 24hrs both hot n cold. Recommended if you get a good discount.

First of all the Hotel Location is Good just few hundred meters from Mall, staffs are very friendly specially the room service boy always respond with a smile. Rooms are old need maintenance. Bathroom with broken tiles, mattress that will pain your back. the worst part is the food. there is a huge gap between the food we order and the food we received. they charged Rs:- 400.00/Day for room heater which should be included in room tariff because this is something mandatory in Darjeeling. whatever rating i am giving is because of the behavior of the staff.

This is the most dirtiest hotel I've ever visited. Rooms are very small and smelly. Not clean at all. Counter staff and waiters was pathetic. Only Mr. Rameshji is very helpful. Dining room stinks. Pls avoid this
