This was our family trip of 9 members. We are pleasantly surprised when Mr. Jivan from front office upgraded our room according to our request. Actually we didn’t expect that they will give us an upgrade. We were given a bungalow that has two rooms in first floor. Room 1034. I think it’s the only room that has balcony with Mt.Kanchenjunga view. The stay was for 3 nights. The resort was excellent. Housekeeping good. Only hiccup was food. We have taken MAP plan, and it was a huge disappointment. All three days the good was not good. No taste, under cooked, felt like old leftover food. When complained to chef he tried to convince us saying we are South Indians and our taste doesn’t suit to the one he prepared. 😏seriously ? We have travelled all over India , we know the taste and we love to explore but he is saying we don’t have taste. Even the buffet spread is not impressive. Just two non veg dishes kept. Except food everything was okay. Am cutting one star for that. Thanks to Jivan for he was kind enough to have us a late checkout. The resort is far away from Mall Road. They asked 800₹ taxi drop by 7pm. Will I stay again? Maybe. But I want to explore other resorts too.

Stayed for 4 nights with my 2 year old son and wife..... suite room was good. Hotel helped us with the kid meals as and when needed. Location wise it is good ...far from the hustle bustle of Darjeeling main town area. It takes about 10 mins by car to mall road. THIS HOTEL HAS NAILED IT WITH THE LOCATION. Bar was average and also the food was average. One drawback of the hotel is that the menu has only 4 items for all days meals. You cannot eat what you want anytime of the day.....timings are fixed for breakfast, lunch and dinner and apart from these timings you cannot order anything apart from pakoda and sandwich. But I highly recommend this hotel over all......

Hotel location is good, however furniture in the rooms is filthy. Management need to buy a steam cleaner immediately and try to get rid of the stains on the furniture in the rooms. Secondly readers of this review please be advised, regardless of what the website shows about the views, depending on the time of the year you can see max. about 100 feet ahead of you due to the continuous rolling fog and mist - we were there in 1st week of April for 3 days - and couldn't see a thing. Lastly the food quality is very average.
