Tumsong Tea Retreat, Darjeeling

It was perfect home away from home beautiful property excellent service by all the staff it's a must visit for everyone would like to come here again and again u r bang opp Kanchenjunga I cld not have asked for more then this it's so beautiful fortunate to b here

This is the BEST resort I've stayed at so far! Everything about here is perfect!! Everything is so well maintained, clean and tidy! The staff here welcomed and kept us here that good, that it felt like home! Will recommend this to everyone who are going to visit Darjeeling!

We spent 4 nights in this lovely retreat nestled among luxurious tea gardens. It is an ideal place to enjoy the sunshine on cold wintry days with the majestic Kanchenjunga looming above. We were 3 couples and a child and had the place to ourselves. Nicely furnished big rooms, luxurious bathrooms, excellent food and awesome hospitality and service led by William and his team. We were fortunate to have 4 days of absolutely clear weather and had magnificient views of the Kanchenjunga range almost all day. Sitting in the garden with a drink, the sun on your back and the mountains shining high above was a truly relaxing and pleasant experience. Would love to go back again. A word of caution. The location on Google maps is misleading. The resort is about 25 KM from Ghoom railway station off the road to Bijonbari. The last few kilometres are bumpy and it is not advisable to travel on sedans. Best to contact William and fix up airport transfers or sightseeing trips. Not much to sightsee actually, but a day trip to Darjeeling town may be worthwhile.

It is indeed a memorable experience at Tumsong Tea Retreat ! We had visited Chamong Chiabadi in March’21 and had planned to visit Tumsong in October as the panoramic views of Kanchenjunga are best revealed in these months . Thankfully, the weather gods did not let us down .. and we had a wonderful four days lazing in the sun and taking the occasional hike up the mountains to burn off some of the calories which Mr. Williams , the manager was splurging on us ! And what a spread it was .. ranging from Bed Tea with cookies to nibble on .. to an exquisite Grilled Chicken with sautéed vegetables.. we felt we were in a gastronomic heaven !! Hats off to Mr. Williams for managing the smooth running of the resort while putting up with innumerable requests from the boarders . All said and done , a very nice place to let your hair down and relax .
