Amritara Surya Mcleodganj, Dharamshala

We stayed on Pride Surya mountain resort for 15 nights we had a tremendous time at the hotel as well sight seeing in Mcleodganj. The hotel has nicely appointed rooms, well decorated and amply furnished rooms for comfort of the guests. The view of the greenery covered mountains is enchanting. The hot water facility is wonderful specially when the hotel is situated on mountain top. Sufficiently stocked breakfast, hot or cold, is a pleasure by itself. Staff is extremely polite and helpful specially Santosh and Sudarsan at the front office along with Surendra at the restaurant. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants pleasure and leisure at a reasonable price.

We have been there for 3 nights with this hotel and here is our well deserve comments : - Hotel Location = Excellent (in the heart of city) -Hotel Food = Par excellent (every time we were defeated to find any negative comments) - Hotel Staff = Again Par excellent= you just demand the food item and they will produce for you (just you have to wait to cook ;)) i highly recommend to stay with this hotel and to enjoy their mouth licking food..... we specially had Chef and Staff Pics to share with the word of visitors..... Stayed in hotel during our trip to McLeod ganj, the hotel is nicely located and have good rooms. The valley view makes the stay more pleasant as it's looks beautiful outside the windows. Staff is nice and friendly however their coffee staff seems little less on their energy level and hospitality was slightly missing as we breakfast on two days and apparently the service seems a bit slow despite the restaurant wasn't being fully occupied. They don't have any activities for the kids if you are travelling with family with kids then explore more options.

Pride surya is located in one of the best locations of the hill town. Parking is taken care because of this.. the property is under construction.. rooms are small but ok.. the disco in the property known is a good attraction for youngsters.. however service of the staff is not up to mark. They are not rude but seems either they are not trained or or overworked.. the breakfast menu schedule can be better managed..

The hotel is well situated in Dharamasala with easy access to the street markets and the Dalai Lama temple. That was the good paThe room was adequate, no hairdryer but a good selection of UK news stations on TV. The bathroom was dated and the toilet flush was inadequate. The shower had to be operated only between the hours of 6 and 10 am or pm if I wanted hot water. Once 6 o’clock arrived it took over five minutes of wasted cold water before the hot water materialised. We moved to a higher level room in order to be nearer the main water tanks. The restaurant was empty. We ate on our own with more staff watching us than were clients. The WiFi has a separate code for each floor and the Internet was very slow and erratic. The view from the rooms was lovely. The people in the streets were not aggressive they were always polite. The hotel is undergoing some renovation which carried on til 1 am but unless they sort out the basic needs like hot water then I cannot begin to recommend this hotel.
