The hotel is very nice specially the workers are very nice, there is this one specific receptionist Anjali she is so cooperative and nice , propably the best and cutest and beautiful receptionist rather person I came around throughout my visit.

Rooms
We took a deluxe room.. this is a decent enough room for a small family...comes with a king size bed, sofa , work station , good balcony with sitout, decent WiFi (we could easily attend one hour school session every day for my kid)
Room comes with an heater
Bathroom is spacious and we'll appointed.. it comes with a kid size bath tub as well..
Views are average.. bt a good room to be in
Location and property:
Location is 10km before the gangtok city it's a very nice property, inside the property thr wasn't many activities ( pool was closed ) thrs kids play area which is decent ..
Spa is very nice, hot stone massage is wat I liked and recommended.. thr famous zero bed sofa and jaccuzi weren't working ..
Food
Food spread was decent
Deserts were good..
Good overall was good not great not bad, but what helps is the great service at restaurant by Reshma and Byomkesh! Both are outstanding with smiles always and ready to help...
I believe live counter can have more options and it can change every day .. also in night they should have more options for live counter..
Since we had dinner and breakfast booked as package we didn't use room service so no comments on that
They also offer a basic hi tea in evening to all guests
Price..
Price is on higher side bt it's the best property at Gangtok so I feel justified..
Over all service :
Over all service was decent , a few staff are always smiling and eager to engage , a few are shy.
Check in check out was smooth no hassle thr though we we had pre-filled/sent all details as requested by hotel but we still had to give documents again( not much of an issue though)
Thr pick up from bagdogra airport is on higher side bt tht comes with any hotel driven package .
Over all one can choose this hotel without any doubt..

The hotel infrastructure is great. But that's where it ends. I'm 46 yrs old, a business travellers, traveling across India and abroad for 20+ years, and trust me I have never ever seen worse service in my life.
The best part is any amount of polite persuasion does not help, was here for 3 days with my family and it's was a complete disaster.
I am not someone who can shout at the hotel staff, tried everything except that, but nothing works, the housekeeping, concierge, bell desk, nothing moves. Eventually we had to get our own water, tea bags, toiletries, and even had to carry our own bags all the way to our cab, as no amount of persuasion would make these staff move.

Pathetic is what it is. Worst service by the almost everyone on the property. They had a water issue but didn’t even bother to have it fixed. After talking to the Managemeny they didn’t bother to care. Don’t stay here is all I can say.
The food at the Orchid restaurant is also at best ok. So head out to MG Road is possible for lunch/dinner

We stayed at Mayfair Gangtok for 2 nights as a family. This is to inform you of the most disgusting experience that we had during our stay.
Firstly the rooms that we booked were 2 deluxe rooms reference number 5280 . The state of the room was such that the kettle was broken , the door knob of the bathroom was broken , the bathroom was not properly done and the locker wasn’t working in one of the rooms.
Secondly , we had to call for the toiletries and bath towels 4-5 times and that too happened only when one had to shout at the reservation desk for the same.
Thirdly , the day we checked in there was a wedding at the hotel and the service was such that there was no body to receive us when we checked in and also the dinner was so horrible that one was served cold food and it was so badly managed that it was a dreadful experience.
Moreover, the Casino was so stinky that one could not sit there for even 10 minutes.
Lastly , during checkin we had a conservation with the person sitting on the reception desk that the extra bed will be charged at 4000/- plus taxes but during checkout when we were handed the bill it was charged at 4500/- plus taxes. and moreover the guy at the desk Mr. Anand was unapologetic for the same and didn’t even bother to consider our earlier conversation.
This is to inform you of the horrible experience at your property.
Being a travel advisor myself I would not recommend anyone to pay premium prices and stay at this property.
