Helpful staff, good rooms, good atmosphere, close to the beach, good prices. Allways helpfull and honest. Slightly humid during the monsoon so the best time to stay at Bakthi Kutir is in the months of October to May

Found this gem on AirBnB while randomly exploring a workcation. Bhakti Kutir as the name suggests is an eco-friendly cum yoga haven. This is not the place for a regular kind of a holiday if you are expecting that. Located at South Goa, this is a place where you will enjoy the calmness and the stillness of the surroundings. Let’s get into the finer details of everything - Rooms: The rooms are basically cottages based on a very earthen village theme. There are stand alone cottages and also duplex cottages. We stayed in a stand alone cottage No.3 which was quite large and spacious. The rooms have basic amenities which will ensure you have a comfortable stay. Keep in mind that being the kind of place this is, expect a lot of insects and crawlers to be your room partners. The bathroom in our room was huge with a western and an Indian squat toilet. ( The Indian styled here is used to make compost, so if you decide to squat for your dump you will contribute towards nature) The shower has no hot water but it’s made available to you on request. Our room experience was decent and good; keep in mind that the cottages have lots of crevices so that may not be good in terms of privacy for some. Food: The kitchen service here is right up there with the bests. At Bhakti Kutir they take vegan and vegetarian food seriously. You will find many options to choose from - Fruit bowls, Ragi Dosa, Jackfruit Upma ( Yeah 😎) , Kuttu , Avocado toast, smoothies etc to name a few. They do serve eggs upon request. They also brew their own Kombucha Tea; it was quite fascinating to find it here. During our stay we had only breakfast here and the experience was top rated. You will find Chetan and Satya here who will be eager and happy to help you choose from the menu. Connectivity: We were worried about the network and WiFi connectivity here. Ute and Yasho had assured us that we won’t face any issues with the connectivity. We had a good strong connection which allowed us to work as well as enjoy our vacation. We highly recommend this place to people who want to stay away from the crowd and noise. If you are into nature and yoga then you may perhaps want to come and live here forever! And if you are someone like us who like nature and calmness and want best of both the worlds then too it will be a perfect fit for you.
  • Great stay but very Indian

We stayed there for a traincation at the Bliss Circus, which is right next door. Bhakti Kutir is made up of individual huts that are really basic: a bed with mosquito net, some shelves and a lockable chest. The toilet is outside. There is a Western-style toilet, no worries, but you can also poop in a hole, if you like ;) The shower only has cold water :( During the day, the power cuts out several times - either intentionally because they are building something and need to cut it, or just because. There is WIFI, but it's slow (and also gone when the power is out). The huts are built right into the jungle, so bring earplugs. Wildlife goes crazy at 6:30 am and you will be woken up by birds, dogs, monkeys etc. The food is good but the service is slow. You will have to wait 15+ minutes for even basic drinks. Very Indian, I would say. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned upon request. There is a laundry service where you pay per piece of clothing. There are also ayurvedic massages at Bhakti, but I was not a fan. It was an herbal stamp massage, which is not my thing, and the masseuse was chatting to her colleague half of the time. It's a 10 minute walk to either Palolem (more party) or Patnem (more quiet) beach. Loads of yoga and restaurants in the area.

Nice huts, beautiful roofless shower, nice space outside the hut to read and rest while being in the jungle. Really nice staff and excellent food!!! We stayed there in order to receive Ayurveda treatments which were wonderful!
  • Ridicules "farmers market"

Just have been there to look at their "farmers market" which is advertised in the area around. The name in quite misleading. Have of it are western women e.g. selling aquarel picture of a quality which also my grandchild could have done. The other half are Indians selling the typical thing which you get at the tourist shops at the beaches. To me that looks like they there thing every guest coming to goa is an idiot.
