    Good property to stay in old goa area. Spacious, Clean and Comfortable. Restaurant frugal, but both veg and non veg available and reasonably priced. Taste ok. Service good. Mandovi river is nearby. Can walk up to there in the evening. But very quiet surroundings.

    Helpful staff. The rooms are basic but do have airconditioning. The attached restaurant serves an adequate breakfast. It is easy to walk to all the historical sites in the town. The buststop to the capital is also close by.

    Old Goa is a bonanza for those interested in history, art, culture and atmosphere and better to experience it all with the Old Goa Residency as the base camp. just a leisurely walk away one can join with the world treasures. World heritage monuments like Bom Jesus which houses the body of St Francis Xavier in a tomb of exquisite Goan and Italian workmanship, Se Cathedral, St Francis of Assisi, St Cajetan, the Christian Art Museum, the Tower of St Augustine, which are just a minute’s walk away from this place. Old Goa Residence offers modern accommodation in Old Goa.

    Been visiting this hotel for the past few years mainly being located close to the Karmali Railway station and also for walking access to the Churches and Heritage sites..... but this time I was disappointed with the declining value.The restaurant attached to this hotel - Sanman Restaurant & Bar-- has discontinued the bar with the new regulations....as we had enjoyed to sip a drink before dinner.... The rooms have not been maintained as before , the air-cons were noisier ....that added to poor sleep quality....Fortunately the staff was quite helpful to resolve many issues and to arrange for our transport.....got to re-think !!

    We only stayed in the hotel overnight waiting for the train on the next day. It was full of bees/wasps, which we didn't see at first. We were afraid to open the door or a window but in the end three of them made it into the room in their continuos search for the fluorescent light. When we called the "reception" the guy just laughed at us and killed them with a broom. When some bees entered a second and third time we got a different room, but could still see some bees through the widow trying to get in. Very Scary!
