Place for the recreation

With a great pleasure I would like to share with my impressions about our vocation at the " Pacific Sunset view resort" located very close to the Palolem beach, state Goa.
Me and my husband stayed there for few days in the end of March, 2022.
This resort is a quiet, cosy and divine by its beauty place. All this complex is a "three -tiered territory", with several guest-houses ( like bungalow) provided with all necessary facilities : comfortable bed, clean bed linen, specious room and bath room, rather big balcony with a sofa and an arm chair. And the view! The view from its balcony, how they say , costs a million dollars.
The whole area of the guest complex is perfectly thought out and organized.
The cosy restaurant "is lifted " on the second tier, thanks to that there is a " taking breath away view" on the ocean there. The menu is very good , diverse and the prices are very reasonable.
The quality of the meal, its serving and order time are immaculate.
The kitchen house is built a little bit aside and it is very reasonable. The same can be said about the household unit - hidden from an eye.
The territory is cosy, tidy and there are a lot of plants and trees around.
The staff is very friendly and polite, they speak English and how it must be they are invisible and unobtrusive, but appear any moment when you need them.
The ocean is just in "two steps" - the fabulous bay with many huge cobblestones as if fairytale giants... and, certainly the white sand allowing to enter the water easily. The bay is bordered by a small hill. The long and very nice Palolem beach is just over it.
You can rent here a scooter, a bike, to buy a sea trip by boat etc...
No doubt it is better to visit this place from November till February - the best comfortable season. But we were very pleased in March, too. Before coming
we were scared that it would be many moscitos, but fortunately they did not bother us at all.
There is no fridge, kettle and AC in the room ( only 2 fans) But as for fridge and kettle- we could easily lived without them as the restaurant was open from 8 a. m. till 10 p. m without a brеаk (!) and you can order anything what you want any time and it can be delivered into your room.
As for air condition- also it was ok to have only 2 fans. And there was the adequate reason not to install AC in such rooms-
the big doors-windows are constantly opened because of the divine view, so AC could be broken immediately.
And what the evenings are there! It is something delightfull- the freshness comes together with the Sunset making everything charming , romantic and comfortable.
There are some more small and cosy guests houses nearby in that bay. But everything is very compact and nice.
One more very important detail about this place - it is safety here. You can walk freely everywhere.
As for food, fruit, vegetables- there is the local rather cheap market not far - just 20 minutes walking ( or you can take a moto riksha) .
Finishing my review I would like to tell the Big thanks to
the owner of this Guest complex- Mr. Sheylesh - very friendly, dеsent and sympathetic person.
We definitely will highly recommend this place to everyone-
the place of comfort, pleasure and total physical and mental recreation!
With best regards,
Natalia and Andrey,
Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

After travelling from Nepal and through India we decided to arrive early at the Pacific Sunset View. Shai and his family gave up their own room to accommodate us for the first night and then we moved into a room with the most stunning, captivating views of palolem beach, sea and mountains. Shai and his family were so accommodating and helpful and a special mention has to be made about Vinay. Nothing was too much trouble for this wonderful young man, he accommodated our every request with a lovely smile. The accommodation and surrounding area is an eclectic mix of quirkiness, beauty and smiles , our views captivating , we were entranced. Thank you Shai and the lovely Vinay. Love from Debbie , Joe and Leigh the “3” coffee gang.

A magical corner on Palolem. The host are the nicest people ever!
Calm, great scenery, simple.
We loved it. Not the fanciest, but truly magical. Good food. Amazing view. Highly recommended to those who want quiet and less crowded beach.

Hard working staff great views with views of main beach to just 5 min coastal walk from hustle and bustle of main beach. Owner is very accommodating, AC and hot water a must when booking a room there, it make your stay that little but more relaxing.

There are better places available to stay in Palolem main beach.
For example: the N€$T, ®೦πnd©ube and ®o©0©©o P€Lt0n. (we even ate once at M@g! © b0× with great service)
We visited the above 3-4 places during our stay at Palolem and they had amazing restaurants, good service and best class hospitality.
The PROBLEM with Pacific Sunset View stay is:
1. There is no owner presence, it is managed by workers and employees. Just a couple of them. Or rather it seemed like that. There is better local Goan hospitality available in Palolem.
2. While we had paid advance after discussion over phone, when we go there they say prices we paid is for non-AC rooms and they do not specify that during advance payment.
3.We were then showed 2-3 other rooms with increased prices which have AC.
I mean who will book non-AC rooms in peak of summer in Goa. It is understood that people need AC. And these huts are having asbestos sheet as roof and then wooden deck from outside. You cannot even sit for 2min without AC.
Since we did not want ruin trip with arguing we just took whatever had AC and paid the increased prices.
My suggestion : I do not recommend this place. The 4 non-AC huts are just built to show you and then drool you into the AC huts without choice and making budget decisions during checkin.
Very poor experience and low tourism standards stare at you.
Even during check in, the person who is there sits on the sofa and attends to us for check in formalities.
IDs were not checked, nor was Covid test reports or vaccination details.
All this adds up to lower than 3star management.
If the actual business owner of this property is reading this, sincere request to make sure you know what is happening and pls don't ruin Goa's and especially Palolem's beautiful reputation among tourists and regular visitors like us to come every year to Goa.
PS: This property has a sideways sunset view or no view of direct sunset.
This will not be told. Sea view is there everywhere in Goa. But you will not get best direct sunset views from this property if you need sunset from stay.
