It was a very good stay at the hotel. I liked the food which was served in the room. The rooms were cosy and the wash rooms were nice and clean. The locations is very convenient and near to my office.

Rooms are OK. Service is good. Having restaurants serves veg. and non-veg food. Although limited variety. It is near Rajdhani Mosque, Dispur. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast complimentary. Having DG for power back up.

Hotel Barak Residency was a budgeted place with very limited services being a budget place. However, services needs to be improved in terms of maintenance of rooms and among other things. it was decent stay.

They don't provide towel and other stuff and service and way of approach customer are bad...food is also bad as hotel. Relly regret to visit this hotel.
Pls avoid it for good for you as guwati have lot better hotel then this.

I had to stay at Barak Residency for a night. It was booked by our travel partner, so we were forced to stay there. When I checked the room, it was on the roadside and I asked the manager to change the room. On hearing the request, he immediately declined and asked me to cancel the room request. I asked if I could upgrade the room and he declined that as well. His response was, "This is the room we have booked for you and that's all you will get, if you want to change the room, we cant do it. Please cancel"
In my experience so far, I have never come across such bad behaviour from Hotel person, especially from an industry where customer feedback matters the most. The room was definitely equipped for only one person. The walls were chapped and dustbin was broken. Also, the TV was connected to a adapter which was loose. The wall clock wasn't working and the panel where fan is hung was broken.
In summary, I felt that such a bad room was given to us on purpose. I don't really know what was the real purpose, but I haven't seen such bad room and such bad maintenance. I seriously recommend not to stay here unless u have no other place to go.
