Good but need lots of improvement

Stayed here on a 2 day visit. I had the suite room where the ambience was lovely even the bed was so comfy. The food was good too. On arriving one of the staff decided to drop my luggage off to my room and on dropping off he asked for a tip which really turned me off. the television wasnt working in the bedroom nor did they have a fridge in the room even it on being a suite room. The window sill in the shower gave out electric current while the exhaust fan was on almost had an electric shock during my shower so I quickly turned off the fan.
I think the hotel can get better and maybe get more professional with time with the staffs too. Altogether it was good and cosy but still the hotel can do better.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at The Manor House recently during a travelling trip to India. The room was by far the best we stayed in during our trip, and we have no issues at all with it. It was clean comfortable and classe. We did however have no hot water for the majority of our stay and other guests had the same issue. The rest of hotel services were also left badly wanting, sadly. The breakfast was very basic and in the soul less cafe/restaurant next door. In accommodation/hotels of this standard I expect more than a coffee and omelette and toast for breakfast. There was no juice, no cereal, no curd etc. The cafe is described as a 'gastropub', has photos and beer memorabilia in the walls, but doesn't serve alcohol at all. We were also worried looking forward to using the pool on the roof, but when we went up there, there no seats or sun loungers by the pool to relax on.
We asked about using the glazed pool room at the side of the pool but were told it was only for the use of the hotel MD. How utterly ridiculous.
Tall claims of a small property !!

The Manor House is a small property. The rooms are tastefully furnished and very clean.
As claimed in the website , this is not in an upscale locality. Around the property you get to see slums. People bath n shave on pavements, it is very dirty.
Restaurant is pathetic. No cereals, no jam, no curds, restaurant has a dirty view too. Too shocking!!
Room service they charge, but don’t get tea in a flask of tea pot.
Restaurant doesn’t stock their kitchen sufficiently.
The service is not great. Front office guys are polite but they can’t help much.
I would rate this property for cleanliness - 4.5/5.0
Restaurant - 2/5
Service - 3/5
Location - 1/5.
Biggest trap - they ask you to pay in full during check in. This is unfair. Instead they better take advance at the time of booking.
Needs lot of improvement to sustain in this industry.

The credit card machine doesn't work causing us to be marched off to an atm with hotel security to take out enough cash for our 3 night stay for 2 rooms. This caused us to pay an additional Rs1000 in fees. When pointing out this the owner refused to do the correct thing and deduct this additional cost.
Furthermore the breakfast is shocking served in a pub next door, no juice no jam as advertised.
The pub "Bojangels" has lost it's alcohol licence, so no beer here.
Rooms are nice as are the reception staff, but the owner should try to be a little more courteous to her guests if she wants to receive a few more European travellers.
We're checking out early!
Pathetic Stay at The Manor House

I stayed in this property in the month of November 2019. For the first night the room provided as comfortable and nice and the next day they shifted me to another room. I came back from whole day work and meetings at 10 pm to see the new room has a toilet in it which has a big window. The window was not covered and reported the same to the front office. To my surprise the front office told me that all the toilets in their hotel have windows and they are not covered. it took me 1 hour to convince them to cover the window with newspaper.
At the time of check out, they goofed up in the billing and when i questioned that Ms Pronita, the operations manager misbehaved with me. Till date I have the bills which shows that they have charged extra money from me. All the staffs are rude and ill mannered. They are not trained to handle guests.
I would suggest all to avoid this property. They are cheaters.
