Hostel Mantra

Nice n comfortable stay at Mantra. Friendly staff and Deva was the best of all. I miss his Chai , surely i will recommend the hostel. Best stay , good amenities and great vibes. ........ Keep Up The Spirits High

The service of the hostel was very good. The room is well organized. Location was good to move around. the people of Mantra are so familiar and i must say well appreciated. If i come again in Mumbai i liked to stay at Mantra Hostel.

Cooperative staff, but my bed was assigned to someone else. The staff helped me give a new one but without a blanket. I literally froze and covered myself with my bag. The common area has flies, i had to be really careful of it. 4 years ago when it was new, it was fine. But now its super deteriorated. Washrooms are not clean, AC will only work after 9 pm and god bless you if you ever cook in this place. Good things - free water, comfy bed.

I had to stay there for a long time since the other hostel I book usually wasn't available. I had a terrible experience. It was unclean most days. The cleaner had gone. Also, one of the days the manager and a guest conspired together to take 4000 rupees from me. You can ask the manager about this. The guest was rude and arrogant. After leaving his clothes in washing machine for hours, he went out. I had to wash my clothes and I asked the manager to empty it but nobody helped. Then I removed his clothes and kept it on a shelf. Apparently, those got dirty. I apologised to the guest but he didn't accept until I gave money. The money (4000 rupees) was not taken by the guest but by the manager who sits at reception. He instead of mediating and helping me, took the opportunity to make money. Goes to show how these hostels work. I didn't say anything because I didn't feel safe there alone, since obviously the manager was siding with the guest instead of playing the mediator. Terrible experience.

They provide beds but love to sleep more. I have knocked their door till the morning finally I jumped in after 100 calls. Find no one to ask where to put my self finally I slept on reception desk with bunch of mosquitoes.
