Parakkat Nature Resorts

We have been in Parakkat Nature Resort Munnar to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary with our very lil one in April 2022. It was so amazing experience over there for which any word would be insufficient to explain to the exact. The resort provides best in class stay facilities which is nothing less than any global brand chain hotels. So much varieties of food which you gonna love for sure. And the most important thing is the staff behaviour. The staffs are so professional and friendly in nature which makes to feel super comfortable here. The activities available in Parakkat is so fun filling and hope any age category won’t be regretted. And a bigg thanks to Team Parakkat for arranging such a lovely Candle Light Dinner on the Anniversary day eve.. Overall, Five Star Plus experience in Parakkat !!

We had booked a suite room in Parakkat and it had (room 4001) the best view of the tea plantation. Each room has unique design and the comfort is top notch. The management team and customer service was excellent. As it was our anniversary, they organized special cake cutting party for us. Dinner and Breakfast spread had wide variety of items and was delicious!! Overall a nice experience

Hello, I visited Munnar with my friends, we all wanted to spend some time in a good resort and we heard many were praising about Parakkat Nature Resorts, so we all thought let's go to Parakkat. Parakkat resort provides a good scenary of the tea plantations. The best thing I enjoyed is the mist while eating breakfast, wow it was something special. Parakkat customer service is the best, not just customer service Parakkat management also take cares of their employees as well, that was really good. The room we chose to stay was Cave room and it was amazing. We even had private pools in the room and it was good. Me and my friends had a lot of fun. Too many things to enjoy, the resort itself is so beautiful. If u guys are planning to visit munnar, then Parakkat is the best place to stay.

We had booked two suite room for our family of five in Parakkat. Room no 4001 has the best view and feel of the hotel. The comfort of stay and feel good factor of stay was top notch. The staffs were courteous and provided great assistance whenever required.The evening buffet had good varieties and so did the morning buffet. I felt some more engaging outdoor activities could have been included in the package that could have made the parakatt trip #A wow I am coming back for Sure Experience!!!!

Update1: Changed 1 star to 2 stars with reference to the detail provides below. I got a call from the owner of the hotel post writing the review and they were very sorry about the experience which I had to go through. I would like to appreciate the gesture that they took the time to understand more about the issue and because of this I have upgraded the review star. They were very patient on the call to hear the issue and have apologized on behalf of the Hotel staff for the experience which I had to go through. They have informed me that corrective measures are taken on the issues, and Room No. 122 is blocked until and unless all issue with the particular room is fixed. In addition, I have been informed that hotel staff will be trained properly to handle scenarios such that customers don't face the issues. They have also tried to compensate since I checked out without staying and have provided me a refund since I checked out the room on the same day. Original Review Posted: STOP, DON’T EVEN TRY- HIGH RISK FOR YOUR TRIP TO BE SPOILED(READ COMPLETE REVIEW AND CHECK THE VIDEO TO KNOW MORE) Highly Disappointed and will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Verdict: Not worth spending even a penny for such property. Very bad experience. Alternate Option: Go For The Tall tree at a similar price and you will never regret it. The whole story: I am writing it nearly after a month such that it’s not written in heat of a moment but to give a fair review. I went to Munnar for a 2-day trip 1st day I booked The Tall tree and since 2nd day it was full I planned to book Parakkat Nature Resort after looking into the review. I called the resort and they sent me detail on all kinds of rooms with the price detail. Each category of the room was provided with a proper picture and after looking into the same I booked Classic Room. Trust me Picture which they sent on WhatsApp was absolutely stunning(decent enough that no one can reject the hotel). When we arrived at the hotel it was a bit late as we checked in at 4:30 pm and we were offered Room No. 122. When we checked the room I was stunned, the room was in different corners and was very shady. It did not match even 5% to the room shown to us. We tried speaking to hotel management to check in case this can be changed and in reply, we got to know that that’s the only room they have and the hotel is completely sold out. Since it was already late we thought it was just a matter of a night and thought to adjust. We visited places across, had our dinner, and came back to the room at 10 pm to sleep. Though I was highly disappointed by the quality of the room provided thought to forget and not spoil my trip. However, when we tried sleeping even the blankets were not up to the mark. The blanket had a lot of bumps(bobbling’s) which was very irritating and we were not able to sleep. Thought to go out and seat on the balcony to spend some time. When we went to the balcony, we saw that there is no privacy, the room next to the balcony was clearly visible as there were no walls that give some privacy, and the people in next were drinking like hell( this is fine since it's their choice but the issue is that there is no privacy and people cannot spend time in their balcony) and you cannot seat with your family as your privacy is compromised by the quality of the room they gave. After this, I was highly disappointed and went to reception to inform them what kind of hotel and room they have given. I was very angry and scolded them like hell. I asked them to give me in the written reason why such quality of the room is given to a customer and after shouting for some time they called their manager and he was sorry for what happened and asked me to shift to a different room which they are ready to provide. I am not sure how they had a room available know it was not there during my check-in when I asked. My only concern was that I needed an answer how can they provide such a cheap quality room they agreed that that room is something which should not have been given and they will give me a written reply and insisted I shift to another room. When I denied moving to another room since I had no expectations from them and I asked them to give me in writing they denied to write. I told them that I will have to check out instead of staying there. Though they were sorry in the end they were rude. My only concern is, the way they treat their customer. The kind of room they provide is something which is not even worth Rs100. They might have good rooms but Room No.122 is something that badly sucks. I tried making a sort of video which I made when they denied giving me a written reply. Which will make things clear to you. In end I checkout at 11 pm at night and moved to a different hotel to have sound sleep. Cleared all the dues and checkout considering it a bad dream and trust me I never want to recall this hotel. Attached is the room video which will show you what quality of the room they have and another video will tell you about the incident and issues which the room had. I would like to recall the issue again. 1. Very Cheap Quality Room 2. Very Small in size(this can be justified since it was a classic category) 3. Very bad lighting, looked like red light area which is shown in movies. 4. Even curtains are very not adequate. One was small one was big. 5. Very bad quality bedding, Completely bob-lined. 6. No Privacy- You cannot use the balcony since it was being visible from the other room and everything was open. 7. Location of the room- in a separate corner standalone room. 8. Doesn’t match the pic which is shared while booking. 9. It looked like a servant's room not a room of a good hotel. Long Story Short: This hotel doesn’t deserve even 1 star and avoids going there. I am confident enough that the review which they have is paid review and it is manipulated. Please stop going there.
