It was an awesome stay at Balaut. Resort is beautifully setup among hills and the staff is polite and courteous. It's a place where one can relax and feel the connection with nature, even the path that lead to resort will give you an adventurous feeling. Resort is serene and away from the crowdness and hustle bustle of city types Nanital. They have setup their own tracking path and activities like river crossing , zip lining, land zorbbing etc which adds further zing to the stay. Swimming pool is under construction and as I spoke to the owner it will be ready very soon, imagine taking a dip in the pool with mountains all around. This is going be a huge add-on to the sparkling beauty of the resort. Few things I would like to mention there is no intercom in the rooms but they give you service number so you can call directly via mobile, this was not a deal breaker though and I communicated with the team with utter ease. Food is sumptous and delicious. One can easily visit Bhimtal and Nainital as these are nearby and return to resort in the evening. Deluxe and Luxury rooms are spacious and very well maintained. Swiss cottages are good too and give you a different flavour. Overall I had an calm and relaxing stay at resort. I think its an kind of hidden gem right now but will soon gonna be a sought after destination for many. I would definitely visit again in next season. Resort is nice with clean cottages with garden. Food is really good. Family and kids friendly property. Need to improve room service as telephone are not working. Need to improve breakfast because there are limited items. But overall nice place with green and clean environment.

I stayed in this resort for one night only, but it is worth even if you are planning to spend more time. The property is huge yet very well maintained by the staff. The resort is located just few kms ahead of Kathgodam, in between the valley, which gives a nice jungle stay feel. The property manager, Ms Sonia, is a wonderful host. I took the swiss cottage for the night, and it was pretty comfortable. Yes, the toilet could have been slightly cleaner (the only reason why I am not giving it all 5 stars). But otherwise its a great abode if you are planning a trip to Nainital. Yes, some would say that its slightly far from the main city, but I personally feel its worth it. The entire ambiance is so serene and nice, that you feel like living in a private society of your own. This is a great place to stay with your family or as a couple.

Hi, we stayed in this property on 3rd and 4 Sep. Location wise its excellent but in terms of guest service its not one of the average also. we asked them to serve food inside the room but we were denied that saying they don't allow room service. Rooms has dampness smell. prices are very high compare to the similar properties.

Such a pathetic hospitality served by balaut resort. This is very first time we visited here , services full of negligence , we were seated 15mins before.none of them came to take order neither entertain with the menu. Moreover the table full of filth. And the cash counter lady Sonia is quite rude. We doesn't expected this from a well knows resort. We understand the rush and we do understand the no. Of covers But not attending the customers and giving rplys like "sir aadha ghnata lagega order lene mai" Why we should wait for 1/2 hrs to give orders . And than how long it will take to prepare? And then what the purpose of giving cover parking charges? Absolutely pathetic. Standard of service 0/5
