A quaint hotel with 24 rooms. We had a room with 2 small balconies. The room was modern with a good modern toilet. Hot and cold running water was available. The bed was clean and comfortable. Pawan Kumar was extremely helpful and even couriered back an apple ear phone we had left behind! Nice gesture! The staff are very warm and hospitable. Food was good. Location is great. Not far from the mall. They even provide shuttle to the mall and back, Overall a great stay! 👍👍

After a long drive from Gurgaon to Nainital over a long weekend the property made it all worthwhile. Very cozy & private stay in the bustling hill-station. For sure on my next visit will stay again @ Ashdale.

As a regular visitor with friends in Nainital, on my previous visit I noticed a beautiful house just visible beyond high gates and a sloping drive. Was this an old mansion perfectly renovated, or a new one lovingly crafted to recall the past? I found the name- Ashdale and resolved to visit on my next trip. That next trip was scheduled for April of 2020 so as you can imagine, I had to postpone that longed-for reunion for over two years due to the Global Pandemic. Everything, including that elegant house, proved well worth the wait. Rani Reena Kamari, herself a woman of taste and style, demanded nothing less than the best as she set out to create a new, refined retreat on top of an existing property. Her presence is seen in details from soft pastel duvets to stunning mirrors rimmed with bronze leaves, and in the high standards to which her staff have been trained. The Ashdale’s table is excellent- the breakfasts were the best of my holiday, served in a sunlit solarium by attentive waiters. She also offers highly reputed continental cuisine for lunches and dinners. Yet perhaps the most intimate and fascinating touches to be found at Ashdale are the many photos of Reena and her distinguished princely family on display throughout the house. I was fortunate enough to receive a tour by the lady herself. By the time I left Ashdale I felt as if I had found my “nest” in Nainital- thank you for a most memorable, delightful stay. This is easily the most alluring accommodation I have found in Nainital or any of India’s Hill Stations.

We visited a in month of February. We were two couples with kids. We were looking for a property away from the Hustle - bustle of Nainital and this fitted the bill perfectly. This property is surrounded b ya garden on its side and back . This provided a lot of rooms for our kids to run around. Incidentally we had nailed our visit such that we were greeted with snowfall. So almost half of the garden was covered with clean snow. Our kids literally had a ball !! We had chosen the king size rooms. These were quite spacious and clean. Bathrooms had a dry showers well maintained . Management is quite friendly Some recommendations King size rooms are quite spacious :) If you have kids try and take garden facing rooms or reagent rooms. - you can keep any eye on them- from rooms balcony (while leisurely sipping a hot cup of coffee ) while they play in the garden. Also go with the dinner included package as it will be cheaper.
