NIce Stay with a Full Lake View

We stayed for 3 nights in a Lake View Room. The Hotel is a mix of all things good - courteous and helpful staff, great location being close to the bus stand, Food was really nice and overall the stay was really memorable. A plus is that the prices are also very much reasonable so you get the best of both worlds.

Stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. View - Awesome view of the Nainital lake and hills from the room balcony. Rooms - Clean, well maintained and spacious. Location - Just a walk from Nainital Bus stand and Mall road Market - Just step down from the hotel and a short walk Staff - Well-mannered Siteseeing - Walk through or take a cab for distant places
Somewhat of a letdown

To begin with the approach road is narrow and very steep. Also, very rough. Not at all convenient for the aged, disabled, etc. Some drivers refuse to drive up this road. Only local drivers have developed the skill. This is also not revealed in their website. Told the staff about this during check out. The Heritage Room that I was allotted was a complete letdown. The room needed so much modification especially the washroom. I had to shift to a standard room which was marginally better but still lacked some amenities.
Good Views but not much facilities

Visited this hotel recently. Rooms are average with minimal facilities. You have to ask for each and everything even though it is included in your package. Avoid rooms C1 and C2 as they are in passage. Mostly no buffet breakfast or Dinner served on one pretest or other. Room service is pricy. One can eat on mall road with reasonable prices. Only lake view is a solace but then all hotels in Nanital offer lake view.
Pathetic hotel

A pathetic shady hotel with shady staffs. Had my booking for 3 days 22 to 25th Oct. But cancelled when I saw while reaching there. If you are traveling with your loved one's family just avoid this place. It's far away from mall road in an isolated place and to reach there, there is terrible incline which would be very difficult for people who aren't from hills.
